Cant progress, Cant play

HC SSF - first char

Merc, first ascendancy done
level 41, act 3
200.000 gold
Alva 0/100
0 exalts
0 chaos


Items literaly NOT droping and even IF something drops, it needs TONS of exalts/chaos orbs I dont have.
Cant upgrade gear. (my items are level 15-25)
Cant loot anything worth upgrade.
No currency.


What is this ?
How should I continue ?

"Literally not dropping" that's not how 'literally' works. You have drops. If you don't drop anything useful, that's too bad.

Keep killing stuff and something useful will drop. There are also vendors you can check each new level for useful items.

Yes checking vendors since level 20. But now, it takes rly long to get new level, while undergeared.
Also feeling Im not killing stuff fast enough, so potentional risk of getting killed is much higher.


There is NO recombinator yet, so cant use that.
There is NO mergin tool yet, so cant use that.


The items that are droping from monsters are 90% blue, while -10 levels for me.

Its like DEAD END.

In its current state, the game is not rewarding, especially in SSF. One solution is to no play and thus send a message about the quality of the product.

SSF is gimmick GGG let there just because... they don't want people playing SSF, they want people on trade league.

I was keen to try HC SSF. But now, strugglin with progress more.
Not to mention, the rly hard bosses for HC like Silverfist and Futzaal are ahead of me.

In none-HC you can just force it with more tries, nothing to loose there.
But here its different.

I've seen you write posts about doing maps is SSF. Was that just not on HC?

You will eventually get upgrades. I'm guessing you just hit a wall and played for 2 or 3 hours without getting anything done. Happens to me too. I have a suspicion that GGG has days where they just turn loot on or off. I don't have bad hours; I have bad days in this game lol.

Thats correct.

I have level 86 Merc and level 80 sorceress in Standard SSF.
This is my first attempt in HC SSF.

Ye, will see how bad it will go for next couple of hrs. If nothing drops, well, tomorrow starts new 3-month BP in WOT, and day after new season in FC25.

So Ill probably put this game on ice, for a while.

I'm playing SSF and running t16 maps with no problem. Seems like you're playing a different game.

I'm playing standard Dawn of the Hunt league, and rate of upgrades from drops is really bad. We are in the last zone of Act 3, and only one of us has gotten an upgrade the whole act. It wasn't even from drops, it was from buying a yellow vendor item that had a socket on it, adding a socket and putting in two runes.

This and the oneshots reminds me of Diablo III Inferno, which is not what any game should aspire to be. And these also were not problems you had to deal with in vanilla DIII until you beat the campaign 3 times. Here, both are issues in the base difficulty campaign. Early access, so I was expecting roughness, this is some of it. Hopefully they fix it.
