GGG - You get one chance!

GGG, I know ya'll don't look at posts anymore, but hey...

You guys get 1 chance at getting those new poe2 players to enjoy poe1. We all know poe1 is the superior game, by far, but poe2 peaked at 500k players.

Give us a certified banger, make them poe2 chads like poe1, make $$$ and get in a groove we haven't seen since Chris left.

That is all, thanks for giving me a game I've loved for 10ish years.

PoE Two will never get those numbers back, even at 1.0 release. THose numbers were inflated by Chinese players, that soon will have their own server, outside of steam.
Both games will thrive, we good

We are going to make it!

Doubt the majority of 2 players have any interest in 1.

Read the 2 forum, it's pretty laughable the fundamental differences in gaming preferences between the two audiences.

2 has attracted both Souls-lovers and snowflakes which cannot coexist.

This ship isn't sinking (yet) but it is adrift

All those PoE Two players who come here trying to throw insults are people who played PoE in the past and didnt like it. There is A LOT of tourists who came to PoE Two as their first ARPG (or second, after D4). Some of them will give PoE a try for sure, if just to check it out.
Totally get the hype, but we have to remember GGG had very limited time to work on this next league, from what we know and what they've communicated.
It's likely going to be a solid, stopgap league, something to bridge the gap, wrap up the Settlers arc, and get PoE1 back on track.

But a full-on "banger" packed with major changes to win over a different audience? That’s just not realistic given the short development window, especially considering GGG’s intent to keep both games feeling distinct in their own right.

This league will likely lean on repurposed PoE2 assets and mechanics, similar to recent ones, with a few simple PoE1 specific tweaks and changes, but that’s probably the extent of it.
It’ll be fun for the usual PoE1 crowd, but not necessarily a standout for those who prefer PoE2’s style.

Let’s just hope it lands as a solid, enjoyable league, and not a half-baked rush job that dies out quicker than ever.

Assuming 1.0 is a true full release, with stronger patch quality, more complete content, and the game finally tapping into its real potential—, it’s not unrealistic to think PoE2 could hit those high numbers again.

A polished launch draws players back and keeps them longer, and going fully F2P opens the door for a wave of new and curious players who skipped early access for all sorts of reasons. There's still a lot of untapped interest out there.

Eh, just pretend POE2 doesn't exist.

I used to get bent out of shape about it. That dwindled to apathy. Trust me, the apathy path is much better.

This is the way. It is known.

It's hard to do - as they keep reminding us in bad, stupid and indirect ways, but it's possible.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

Bruh... 300+ days to cook some ideas in their devs brains? No way, GGG doesn't get a pass on that.

I am breathing much hopeium if I'm being honest. I'm just sad I have 3 weeks away 1 week into league start that I can't change =/.

Nope, because to hit those numbers on steam again, they would need to double if not tripe amount of actual players. China is HUGE and I wont be suprised if there was more chinese players playing PoE 2 than EU + NA players together.
Hitting 500k on steam w/o them is pretty much impossible for them.

Let's be real, they did not start to cook anything prior the events, else we would have had a much earlier league and not the two back to back events as a time filler.

At best they've been working on the new league stuff after they've put up the Legacy of Phrecia event, which is kinda a realistic timeframe with a bit more than 3 months. But they for sure did not put more than 300+ days of brainstorming into the whole fun.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.
