I got a security breach and im still waiting for a response

I have a big security breach on my current steam account which the game is linked and i want to link a different steam account. I contacted the support more than a month ago. They asked some information about my account and i provided it. Is there a reason why i am being absolutely ghosted by the support? Are you guys actually gonna help me like you said you will?

I know that you are pretty snowed under but its been a month and a half. You already started helping me with my support request. Why would you ghost for an entire month after asking for confirmation, is what im wondering. The security breach on my account is pretty severe. I already had talks with steam to have my account and data completely removed, i just have to get my games with third party links sorted. Im simply waiting for an unlink the old and link the new account action rn. I contacted you the first time on April 8th, can you at least give me an estimate? It would be a shame for you to start helping me after i lose everything to a hacker.

Does your Path of Exile account have an email address associated with it?

Have you downloaded & installed the game's standalone client?





I am not trying to be dismissive, but they likely don't view this as being a particularly urgent support request. I mean... it doesn't sound like you've any issues accessing the game; it's just that you want to specifically play through Steam and may not be able to at present.

There are people out there completely unable to play the game whatsoever.
Today… by divine decree… your patch of Excel, begins.
I do have an email address associated and for some reason i get problems with my connection if i use the standalone client. My problem isnt about accessing the game RIGHT NOW, its about losing the access to my entire steam account, hence losing the access to the game sooner or later. Do i need to wait untill i have all my data, game accounts etc. to get completely stolen before i can get help?

When i sent the support ticket on April 7th, they said they can help me fix this problem. They answered fairly quickly, less than an hour. I gave the information when i woke up and its complete dead silence after that. I know you dont mean to be dismissive but you're saying all is well if i can access the game, which is not my current problem. It will be my future problem if i keep getting ghosted. And its not like i sent the ticket today and didnt get an answer in mere minutes. Ive been waiting for 43 days.

My guess is the initial "we need X" message was sent by junior staff. Everything else on account recovery needs to go through senior staff. They're running a month plus/message sent. There are people waiting 5 months for account recovery at this point.

Does unlinking the old and linking a new steam account count as account recovery? And how is it an example that there are people having problems with account recovery right now? I am about to be one of them. Or should i first become one and come asking for help here? I mean, sorry for my frustration and my language but do i need to be an example to some other guy that suffers the same problem?

Update:

I got an email the day after the post. Support asked for more information and i provided. 6 days passed after that and they sent another email asking for, again, more information. And i provided, again. Today marks the 7th day and i havent gotten a reply, probably never will, lost all hope on that one.

I find it weird that they are asking the information about the account an email at a time, its not like im being contacted immediately. Im sorry for the other people who cant access their accounts. Today, i lost my 6 year old R6 account because of the said security breach. I assume i got mere days left before i join the "No access for the game i paid money to" club.

Update 2:

Got a response after i posted the update 1. Took them 57 days to unlink a steam account. May god help the people who are still waiting for a response.
