Am I Disgraceful to Buy Ascendancy?

Lvl 85 Pathfind, failed at 65 Sekma and 75 Chaos.
At Sekma I got burned dead by mechanics and at Chaos I was one shot killed by staged-4 bird which I really can't see what skill kills me.

I know I have to practise or invest my gears.

But I'm really tired, so should I buy ascendancy and fill shamed because I can't pass the test?

Tbh, I've been doing my fourth ascendancy in the 85-90 range. I start working on it when I'm at t15s and I'm starting to consider pinnacle bosses.

You're not the only one thinking the trials are completely out of place in an isometric game.

Nope, you're smart to buy a carry. That content is completely unbalanced and the game has barely any good builds anyway. Save yourself a lot of time and sanity and just pay someone X exalts to get you a sekhema floor 4 carry for all your points.

trials are too hard. with warrior i had 3 stash tabs full of idols and a locker. I used only max honour, capped honour resist and see one room ahead, but i had no chance at floor #3 shekema's.
had to do chaos trial several times with endgame gear t15 lvl 87+.
gimme izaro and chris wilson back please.

No shame in it at all, imo.

Trials should filter out bad builds, but at the moment they feel like they filter out life-based, non-CI, slow movement/skill speed, and melee builds regardless of how they perform outside the trials.

Ive done it a couple times on experiment characters. On my functional build I waited till around lvl 90 to do the 3rd/4th.

Sek trial is designed to make you try/fail and farm honor resistance.

Did it with 70-80 honor res => easy.

but I must say, It is not fun !

I have found Trial Of Chaos more manageable. For 4th set of points, I just buy 3 tokens (for opening the last gate) for about 10 Chaos Orbs (for all 3). Then use a L75-L76 trial token for the run. I don't want to fight with RNG to collect 3 tokens needed to open last gate.

Sekhema is too long and is not pretty when you die on 4th floor and have to repeat 4 floors all over again.

Goodness, no, don't be ashamed. Buy a carry and get on with something more fun. If they removed trials completely from the game, I doubt anyone would mourn them - even people who don't mind them.

Don't get gaslit by the "skill issue" crowd. I couldn't get 4th Ascendancy with amazon. Had done it before with no issues in 0.1 on two chars. Now playing a second char this league and the ascendancies were a stroll in the park. Did i suddenly get skilled again or is the game simply very poorly balanced?
