Trials need to be removed from the game.

There is absolutely nothing fun about this content.

Nobody liked them in PoE1.

Nobody likes them here.

I would literally rather pay money to not have to do this content then to actually do it.

Pulling levers and touching crystal for an hour while spamming dodge roll isn't fun. It's stupid and tedious.

Dying from corrupted blood after you've killed a boss isn't fun. It's stupid.

Picking how you want to make your character weaker isn't fun. It's stupid.

Having to do 3 or 4 floors or 7 or 10 trials for over an hour is mind-numbingly boring, tedious, and stupid.

If people are selling services for this content, that means the content is bad and people don't like doing it.

Here's an idea:

Sekhamas: 1 floor, different boss at the end of the floor depending on what difficulty of the barya token.

Chaos: 3 trials, different boss at the end of the trial depending on the difficulty of the ultimatum token.

Clean, easy, not-so-painful, you don't feel like you've wasted all your time when some bullshit one shots you an hour in.

I like them, especially Sekhema. It's good to have content that requires skillful decisions. But perhaps that's what you lack.

I also enjoy the trials, they're a good challenge to do once a character.

Also if your stance is 'If people will pay to not do it, it must be trash' falls entirely apart under any scrutiny. People pay to not grind gear, beat bosses, or level. So clearly, getting gear, beating bosses and leveling should also be removed by this logic. Expanded to other games, say WoW, players should have unlimited gold, and instant access to a top level character and also the best gear in the game, as these are also common RMT things people buy.
I am ok with Trails except for the time boss where you have to pickup hourglasses in time or die. Several times I have gotten just an impossible spread on the hourglasses. I can understand if I get a movement debuff but this should always be able to be completed with maybe 20% movement boots and no movement skills. Anything above that should make it easy. There should not be a high bar for a mechanic that just kills you.

GGG stated it was terrible design in an interview but yet it has not been changed.
They are silly because I just overlevel them and roll right through the crap content and "puzzles/traps".

Like the touch the crystal "puzzle"..I simply run from one to the other ignoring all the mobs until the last crystal and there are only a few that are at the last one to kill anyways as the rest simply stop aggroing.

As for the rest, I simply AOE or range them with OP powers or pets (let's face it, if you are playing melee you are gimped the whole game anyways).

With max Fire resists and range powers the boss is just 2 minutes or less of dodging and button mashing...collect loot.

I love them all overall, especially OG izaro lab, but It's the honor system specifically that I completely despise. I skipped Sanctum League back in the day almost immediately after giving it a bare minimum try, and thanks to trial of sekhema I'm reminded every time I go for ascendancies that I didn't miss anything skipping that league.

Everybody loved doing the lab, everybody loved getting ascendancies, every loved Izaro. Claiming the opposite is very pretentious even as an exaggeration. Now obviously after a while doing them became repetitive so most of that love had to fall off eventually and for some turned to hate and so it did get changes.

But the only real problem with labs was(and is) that you could get disconnected and had to start all over again. But that's not an inherent content issue. That's GGG insisting that you can only play online, and you can't be too mad at them because of the existing reasons/problems that circumvents, but it does sacrifice innocent people who just don't want to rely on the internet, experience lag spikes, die from desync etc. Being online only is a miserable experience, and that might not seem to be the case when you never have internet or server problems, but we do have them and I'm forced to feel "blessed" that my game didn't become perma-laggy or got dc'd whenever I do a long high level trial in poe2.

And they actually made is so its more profitable than running maps doing dgsht. Unbeliavable.

At some point there is suppose to be a 3rd type of trial added, probably when we get the next 3 acts.
No info has been released on what that 3rd trial will be as of yet though.

I think Ascendencies should remain in trials though, it's a test after all in order to get power. I do however think the ascendencies are not appealing enough for the struggle to be worth obtaining, there is very few ascendancy nodes that actually make a dramatic impact on your character imo. Trials right now is mostly for the loot.

In PoE 1, every trial you did you'd notice the increase in power or even utility from your ascendency, however in PoE 2 you don't really notice the difference until your 3rd or 4th trial in most cases.
