I wouldn't call any PoE1 leagues "recent", except Settlers, as it's still running. While "recent" will always be relative, I automatically relate it to the league schedule we're used to, hence; not recent.

What would be the point of sitting on an alt, honestly? Are you dodging probation? Is this just a throwaway account to show off FOMO without ruining your main's pristine reputation?
Enlighten us, because it’s curious why anyone would bother hiding behind an alt unless there's something more at play.

As for what counts as “recent”, sure, “recent” is always subjective, but when we look at how the game has evolved and the overall player engagement, there’s no denying that the newer leagues have had a massive impact.

Leagues with shared content obviously taken from PoE2 have really enhanced the game, alongside all the positive changes we've seen in the last few patches. Without PoE2 and Gold, something like Settlers and the currency exchange system might not have even happened. And honestly, it's been one of the best things in years, no one wants to deal with the old trade whisper spam for bubblegum currency, scarabs, or a quick Divine to Chaos exchange. So best to hope that it gets taken into the core game.

So yeah, I’m not trying to disappoint your expectations, but maybe aim them more accurately next time.

No, I was suspecting it was an alt because you were trying to keep it vague for some reason, but now you're saying it's not an alt - and I just have to believe you on that, because there's no point in lying about it. Now, for this alt account? I created it a few years back for the BPL, so I didn't have to leave my guild to join the BPL ones.

Anyhow, I would take regular updates over "gold" and the currency exchange every day of the week, even though I like the addition. And I prefer not to speculate on the fact that "it would never had happened if not for PoE2", but if you need to for arguments sake, be my guest.

I'm not interested in the whole narrative you have with MisterFancyPants, that's all opinions anyway, I'm fine with it.

But ppl often forget that most assets from GGG are built regardless of PoE1 or 2. They just are created, then picked from their library when and where they see fit (cf Phrecia).

Quite specific, the currency exchange thing is most probably not related to PoE2 at all, because it has been a pain point for a long time. That's the closest we have to how and why it came up (12:30 for that very topic) :

My point is that saying PoE1 wouldn't have stuff without PoE2, is as irrelevant as saying PoE2 wouldn't have existed without PoE1. We can all remake the world with "if's" but that's not how it works.
