Been doing that for about 8 months now. It's more or less all we can do regarding PoE1.

Pipe dream at this point fellas.

POE1 died for this, its a bad joke at this point.

I will tell you better joke. Those numbers are still with China. Soon they are getting their own non-steam version of PoE 2 for chinese server, so those numbers will drop by half.

And some of those are "new players", not looking for seasons/ladders/leagues, which I personally place under "irrelevant numbers" in the long run. But hey, that's just me.

Nah, we have to be (a little bit) fair here; PoE2 has potential and is only in early access - A LOT can (still) be changed to bring in numbers. Them focusing the majority of their resources on PoE2 is only natural. But going 9 month without spending any of their resources on PoE1 is unforgiving.

But yes, some ego, some arrogance, a dash of hope and heaps of stubbornness.

Patch 0.3: "We've sped up the gameplay a couple of notches, lessened the need for constant combos and made the passive tree actually matter. We've also quadrupled the attack speed of every melee character". POW! They just doubled their player numbers.

It is definitely ego of Jonathan. Just watch any interview with him. Dude acts like he is the omnipotent being and if you dont like PoE Two you are just too stupid to understand his vision.
