As promised, this is the evolution of the previous Lightning Spear + Shockburst Rounds tactician but taken to: 11.
Insanely fun build to play, arguably one of the funnest! Because of the built-in automations, this is a true three-button build and really lets you focus on enjoying the content! Also fairly cheap investment, roughly 5 Divines for all of the End Game gear. Bro Im done with the league for now but this is hilarious! I thought my lightning spear was pretty good, but this took it to the new level lmao. Crazy that GGG refuses to nerf stuff like this, because playing almost anything else is just dumb this league.

Lightning spear with tangletongue. So original. Its very unique build, worth of slapping your name oo it. Or did you actualy come with anything that wasnt copypasted 100 times before? Cuz i cant see any inovation.

" Im sure spers will be nerfed in 0.3. Its not like GGG refuse to nerf, they probaly just went PoE1 way of "no nerfs during league" unless its some glitch or unintended gamebreaking stuff. They did it early with cof comet and ppl went mad, so since that they dont "screw builds". They left sparklords or chainheralds till "end of league". So 0.3 will nerf spear skills, amazon, deadeye and probably lich while introducing new broken stuff fror 0.3-0.4 " league". |

" Thanks! Obviously everyone's using Lightning Spear, but figured a juiced up version would help us lowly Mercenaries. Been testing on my legacy Gemling and seems to work. Might give it a go on the legacy Witch Hunter and see if that extra damage makes a difference. |

" Wat? It's a Lightning Spear Merc, not exactly cookie cutter. Yes, everyone's using LS, simply showing how this class stays relevant. Three-button-build, doesn't require Wind Serpent's Fury or a Sacred Flame. Thought that Storm Lance damage was pretty nifty. Input always welcome on how to get more out of the single-target damage! Updates to Build: Lightning Spear - Using Longshot instead of Lightning Penetration, better for clears. Storm Lance - Using Close Combat instead of Deliberation, better for up-close boss damage. Passive Tree - Experimenting with putting Frenetic back in instead of Stand and Deliver for more charges. Clears better with about the same boss damage. " But it abuse tangletongue just like the first deadeye version. Tangletongue lightning spear is broken on every class and its same design on every class. Its very same design as the first amazon LS that abuse 25% base crit of tangletongue to replace amazons critical strikes ascendency skill. Im already alergic to lightning spear. Added a second Unset Ring for extra skill slot, took War Banner.
Able to take Xesht Tier 4 down in 40 seconds. Haven't really seen any negatives for adding it, other than less Storm Lance spam time-on-target to place the War Banner. It is faster kill time though. Last edited by DirtyWilly#6819 on May 18, 2025, 3:56:11 AM

Just watched the video and this build looks like pure fun! I love the idea of a 3-button setup that still melts content. Also appreciate that it’s budget-friendly — I might give it a shot this league. Thanks for sharing!
