Loot buff did nothing but make trash loot drop more

There is a big issue with gear atm.

Idk if it's build related (because you know... All are LS) and all other gear are trash...

But I'm sure that if we had some better affixes and more build diversity, we wouldn't be at the point that we are.

Maybe buffing other classes or skills could change that...
Buffing affix, lowering the appear rate of bad affixes.... Raising the range of the affixes...

Lots of things to work on it
I think the main problem with loot is simply currency doesn't drop enough. 0.2 nerfed it "ALOT". If you played since launch you know what I'm talking about.

Loot was perfectly fine pre 0.2. Exploits killed the market, not how often loot dropped.

This game is now "Anti-Fun" because you are not rewarded accordingly for the time put in. It clearly is designed around microtransactions and for a lot of people, grief.

It's also EA. They should be focusing on character progression and the skills. They contradict themselves with how the game is designed, and how often the player is rewarded.

Slow gameplay with meaningful combat. The game already had it.

Pre-0.2 it just felt good to play the game and progression was still a lot slower then most ARPs but it felt good. I played ALTs and enjoyed trying new characters. 0.2 hit and instantly everything felt like it takes 3x longer and I'm like.... why?

Now every patch is about things I could care less about. They are focusing on the stash tabs? Seriously, focus on the gameplay and balance the game so it is enjoyable for all.

Bottom line for me. I think GGG is focusing on the wrong things during development and so far most changes are:
-pointless
-related to new microtransactions
-minor things that can be tweaked rather quickly

Instead they should be:
-looking at class/asc balance
-Fixing alot of the skills so we don't end up with a 1-2 viable build meta to be efficient
-Looking at their own data and interpreting it
-Respecting the players time vs reward balance
-Welcome to 2025 - Create a AH, only makes sense since you know, trade is such a big part of the game.
The drops rate is fine now, what they need to do is introduce more measure to have more deterministic crafting and increase the success chance of the recombinator to get more people to craft.
200+ Mf and what i get in return is less then what it was at the first poe 2 launch, at least in the launch i actually got some div and stuff, now even after the latest "buff" its still laughably under-performing, thanks but no thanks im done with this league, if GGG actually decides to find fun again someday maybe ill return, i was already pissed with all the class nerfs, now alot of hours and nothing to show for yeahhh cya
I mean, yeah, that's in the nature of rng loot. If you refuse to change mods or how they roll on gear your only mechanism of control for better loot is more loot.

Just take 2H Maces - there is 8 prefixes and 14 suffixes in the pool. Most of them rolling in 6-10 tiers. You are bound to have to roll hundreds of items to even get something halfway decent.

i think its the other way around.

if you drop someone 10 chest armours then the game is balanced around having a 1 in 10 chest armour, 1 out of 10 chests that drop for you are good enough, 10% chance the next chest that drops is an upgrade.

if you drop 1000 chest armours the game is then balanced around having a 1 in 1000 chest armour and 1 out of 1000 chest armours that drop for you are good enough. you got a 0.1% chance of the next chest u find being an upgrade.

its not drop more loot, its drop less loot. how powerful the actual item is isnt actually a factor because the game is balance around what you find and end up wearing. the only question is how much absolute garbage do you have to pick up to find it?

the more items you drop the more you raise the bar of what a good item is and the more items that drop are shit. if you trade its even worse, because not only is more items multiplying how shit the next item you loot will feel but how many other people are dropping items.

self found feels fine right now, trading currency feels fine. if you trade for gear then the amount of currency you find is irrelevant because if they drop more it just inflates the item prices. you find twice as many divines then items will cost twice as many divines. if you trade for gear then all the gear you find will feel like shit because you are trading. they cannot help traders, they are fking their own loot drops by trading for gear.

so trade people demanding more items and currency dropping doesnt work, it doesnt solve your problems, actually it just devalues everything you find even more. games get lost in this loop of buffing drop rates to please a player base demanding more loot and all that happens is people filter out all the extra drops and then say all the loot is still trash, the problem actually gets worse not better.

I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
