[0.2.0] Poisonburst Pathfinder [Endgame]
I was actually trying to put together a proper Poisonburst build for SSF, and while checking out what others were doing, i came across yours. I was thinking of running it with a Chayula monk. Do you think that would feel good? Got any thoughts on it?
Poisonburst seems SSF-viable as it is. Thanks. Last edited by fatih4915#0193 on May 23, 2025, 4:00:20 PM

I honestly dont think chayula monk can do poisonburst any better than pathfinder, its just made for pathfinder, with spreading poison stacks on death and double max stacks. Especially in ssf, class synergy is very important.
i dont even know if this build with pathfinder is ssf viable by itself, because of gear depence. it doesnt need any unique to work, but this build thrives with high evasion and high es gear, because of low single target dps, you need to have the survivability to call it playable. even though i like playing pathfinder, there are still reasons why it isnt meta, at all, like 0.8% playerbase in league |

Hey, so I swapped some gear around and was wondering if you were willing to take a look at it. It feels better damage wise, though Mana is a bit wonky so I have to use the Mana flask a bit. T4 King Phase 2 went down within 1:30 - 2 Minutes somewhere in-between.

" It all looks very good. dont see any issue. you can go for more damage if you feel you are tanky enough. but always keep in mind that ghost dance does a great job, but it needs the evasion rating. mana is always an issue, poisonburst gets very mana hungry, using flasks is fine if you dont run out of them, then you need to figure out a solution ^^ |

" Perfect, thank you for the feedback. I haven't died on the Poisonburst build yet, even when I went full "glasscannon" with only 1.6k life and ~2k ES. Right now I feel I have a great balance between damage and tankiness. |

Hey, one more thing im curious about. I see you're using pierce for projectiles. Is there a specific reason for that? i thought pierce might actually be a downside for how poisonburst works?

" I had the same thoughts a while ago, and removed the pierce, but than both arrows from gemini bow did hit the frontline, which was feeling much worth, because the burst wasnt spread out, while fighting greater packs. having it pierce, with 2 arrows, usually it comes to one arrow bursting in the front row and another arrow bursting further back, which spreads the poison stacks over a wider range. |

Hi there,
Few question. 1) Does flat damage more important on rings or is better to use increased chaos damage rings? Currently the rings I have are high cold/lightning flat values 2) I been look around most of them is using Gemini bow, how about Widowhail Crude Bow? |

" 1) "+increased Chaos Damage" does not work on poison except you apply poison with chaos damage, with bow its usually phys. damage (long story) what you can use is "gain % damage as extra chaos" like Mings Heart, because it applies to your hit damage. If you use rings with flat elemental damage, then you also need to use plaguefinger gloves, to make elemental damage contribute to poison magnitude 2) Same here, you could use widowhail, but then you need alot of flat elemental damage on quiver and rings and use plaguefinger gloves to make that work. I didnt try, because i would need alot of different gear, so i cant tell what is needed to outperform a high phys. dps bow. |

i updated the build on maxroll.
Now it uses "Eye of Winter" instead of "Dark Effigy" to apply additional wither stacks during Bossfights. It uses "The Wicked Quill" Wand in the 2nd Weapon Slot. Here you see it in Action, could improve my Xesht time because of more overall wither stacks. https://youtu.be/cXRtL5lmvC0 Last edited by Tharon#9779 on May 27, 2025, 5:24:42 PM
