Opinion on the upcoming loot changes (0.2.0g)

poe 2 is playground for streamers and over-stimulated casuals now. So.. Don't expect the "meaningful" and "methodical" combat to appear in future. They are just making this game to satisfy casuals as casuals are the highest in amount

hard games cannot be main-stream and earn that much money - and we know.. it's all about money.

So they can make
-hard, meaningful, slower, methodical combat = and have less players and money
-faster,easier, more loot, over-stimulating like poe 1 combat = more players

anyway all what this game offer is just - good feeling of combat. Which dissapear after reaching end-game.
It's bad arpg with bad core of arpg. With null itemisation worse than D4 - no afixes, no meaningful itemisation. Just +2/5 dmg, +5 crit and that's all. No class, skill specific afixes.

So poe 2 is goin nowhere. just another clicker

Also with the buffs to rarity I don't want people who have 50-100% increased rarity on their gear to scale so much so that they get double the amount of divines, compared to me for the same time spent in the game. That would force people to mainly play the overpowered builds, who don't need much investment and just put rarity on everything possible.
I think if I have 0% rarity on my gear, and another player has 70% rarity if I get 10 divines in X amount of time, they should get maximum of 12-13 divines. This is why I stopped playing early last league, because everyone was stacking as much rarity on gear as possible, like a stat that is a must have on every build. I didn't want to invest in rarity, I just wanted to play the game, but other people were so much ahead of me in terms of currency that I just stopped playing.

GGG literally said that the buff to the rarity stat on monsters was accompanied by a nerf to the effectiveness of the rarity stat on player gear. I would imagine the currency farming capability between someone running 0% rarity and another running 100%+ rarity is going to be the close to the same before and after the patch if not skewed more towards the player running 0% after the buff. If nothing else, this is going to help players like you running 0% rarity actually see the rare currencies drop more than once in a blue moon.

The game's economy is always going to get inflated by people exploiting the rarity stat in group play with several hundred % combined rarity because selling currency is a real world business for those people.

Shadeless01 you are right, I've never played one myself, because the gameplay doesn't look engaging to me, but I've seen a lot of videos for PoE2 with 10k+ ES and basically just waiting for minions to melt everything (which was pretty fast pre 0.2).

Yes, ES is strong but it was the only way to survive high end for defenses unless you just screen wipe. But on your point about minions, if someone wants to play that way why cant they? Why cant they use a build in the game and be at least close to power as another build in the game?

A lot of the minions builds I saw in .1 were cool looking and still had the massive draw back of if the minions died, the player was dead 99% of the time. When a summoner loses its minions to a big one shot from a boss or something, its like a LS build not being able to use any attacks for 7 seconds of whatever. That's the gamble to play summoner. Good safety when they are alive, none if they are dead.

I know perfect balance will never be a thing but there will always be a meta people will flock to and there will always be builds that are fan favorites. Summoner builds are a lot of fun to a lot of people. So I ask again, why shouldn't they be able to beat the same content as a HOTG player or LS player or whatever strong build you want?

I saw in another thread where people were begging LS to be nuked like spark was. Why? Why not bring it down SOME but bring others up? POE is the strongest (1 or 2) when most if not all skills can beat top content.

Its getting super annoying watching people cry for nerfs to specific builds without them bringing up others. They nuked minions already in .2. From the videos I have seen from "top" minion players, its horrible now.

Also side note.... for those who want slower play, play a slower build.... If everything is slow the zoomers will complain and quit. If there is a fast meta, you can always still play slow and meaningful. This is what I don't get. The only real complaint here is the trade warriors needing to play the most optimal. Outside of that, if someone one clicks or no clicks (minions) and can beat the same thing as you can in your 48 button build, who cares? And if you do, explain why without mentioning trade.
