Item Changes in Path of Exile 2

In the campaign, you only get the guaranteed Rare item the first time you kill the boss. In maps you always get it."

Why is that? Why not let us farm? Racers will not do this cause they will find something more efficient but i dont understand why would you not allow people who struggle to farm a bit before they get something decent and move on. Its the essence of path of exile. You get to chamber of innoncence and you farm. Its the only thing fun in campaign that makes you feel powerful.

It would also help some off meta builds that need a little bit of help at the start.

You are not crafting currency you are killing monsters and hoping you get something good. So its not really deterministic.

Campaign is the whole reason why the game feels sluggish right now. People who got to maps already dont care about this.

This change is meaningless if it doesnt work in campaign. I would seriously reconsider this one because it sounds like a great change.

I was hoping last 2 weeks there will be some big changes that will make me just do the campaign and play the game but i guess its not happening yet. Feels more like changes are done for the endgame people once again.

By essense, the issue with item drop and rarity shows that :

GGG is is eager to come in front (like in this post) talking about what you implemented, WITHOUT actually testing.
So the question I have is : DID YOU TEST IT ?


Also, reading this post, it appears to me that the fundamental flaw in gg approach to designing this game has not been fixed.

I dont have to read your logs to know that most players dont even go to act 4 (act 1 cruel) , so buffing high end loot and nerfing overall magic find is fixing the wrong thing at the wrong place.

It's like you refuse to learn at this point.
And where is the balance? there is only one build played.
