The Vision is TRASH.
" Couldn't agree more. It's inconceivable to me why exp loss is still a thing. Yeah lemme take 3 steps backwards after taking 1 step forward. I'm sure that's gonna motivate lots of people to keep playing instead of uninstalling right? Complete joke, truly the worst game design I've ever seen in my life. I'd rather play through all of WoW Shadowlands and BFA all over again than touch PoE 2 and its cursed vision. |

" First of all, I didn't single out just streamers - read again. Not only do many people go by reviews and word of mouth and what streamers tell them.. but on the long run community influences the direction of the game. If someone liked a certain aspect of PoE2 prior to certain parts of community outrage, and that thing gets changed, said someone might end up not playing the game anymore and as such community has a lot of power in that direction too. However streamers or better said "Influencers" are very powerful in that respect. One has to be pretty ignorant to think that streamers/influencers don't have power. I can give you plenty examples of this that have nothing to do with PoE or even gaming for that matter. Cult-like mentalities often form around people like that. Games themselves sometimes create such cult-like mentalities as well... such as PoE1 for example. How do I know there's cult-like mentality around PoE1? Simple, if said people praise PoE1 as the perfect ARPG best ever etc... that's cult-like mentality. PoE1 has plenty of issues that make it far from perfect if you are someone that has critical thinking and is objective about things. " Read what I wrote multiple times, maybe you'll get it. Also can you deny anything I've said about the unique state PoE2 is in? Let me tell you about a little experience I've had in PoE1 before PoE2 even launched... while I was playing settlers league, I was seeing constant doomer comments about PoE2. BEFORE IT LAUNCHED. One of the top HC characters that died at one point was named PoE2willflop or something like that. I mean... it was pretty clear how PoE1 community will afect PoE2 even before it launched. "Sigh"

" Didn't they fix that? Also, calling PoE 2 worst game design you've ever seen in your life might be a little exagerated? Last edited by Naharez#3496 on Apr 23, 2025, 1:57:39 PM

" No, they did not. The only change was that now you don't lose exp when dying to pinnacle bosses. Woooow. You still lose it when you die in maps. And no, it isn't an exaggerated at all considering the steamcharts downward trend this game has been on since the start of EA+all the recent steam reviews. People are not happy. Because the game isn't fun. Stuff like exp loss and other pointless time-wasting mechanics are exactly the kind of horrible design choices in a game that makes people uninstall and never come back. |

"I know what you wrote, you don't need to pretend that "word of mouth" is something different in your world because you probably think even what others say is ultimately influenced/dictated by influencers. "The same was said when books became a new thing, the same was said about every form of entertainment and/or public figure. "In fact, you are ignorant to view all of this as some "mindless cult" stuff because it fits your narrative better, while disregarding people's ability to form their own opinions. You know, in reality, if you are not 12yo, you don't need a streamer/influencer for your opinion, instead, you form an opinion and normally prefer consuming stuff from ppl with the same and/or similar opinions. "Wrong. Someones subjective view or statement about a thing, no matter if you are able to share the view, is not "cult-like mentality". And there we are at the crux of the problem, your twisted view on things. Ppl disagree with your view? They are brainwashed by influencers. Ppl have strong subjective views? They are cult-like. "I understood it, while you missed the point. There is a key difference in dynamics. Your friend taking Asmongold's input to make a decision is completely different. There, your friend had no experience with the game itself and his opinion was pending, thus unsure what choice to make (buying it or not). So, he takes Asmongold's input about it and trusts his judgment. Why? Probably because he watches Asmon because they have something in common and the same and/or similar views about things (that's how ppl normally select their streamer), thus, if Asmon says that the game "World of Wokecraft" isn't worth it - it's highly like that it's not worth it for your friend. In the case of the "toxic community preventing ppl from playing", in this topic, the ppl who like the game have already played the game. They had their own experience with the game and formed an opinion about it. You don't change someone's view from "I like this game and have fun playing it" to "I don't like this game and stop playing it" because someone says "PoE2 Bad". "Mhm... and!? There were many positive things about PoE2 BEFORE IT LAUNCHED, too. Furthermore, did you play PoE2... even after you read the mind-changing character name "PoE2willflop"? How does it come that PoE2 had an incredible launch, when the "negative influence" is sooo crucial? [Removed by Support]

Whenever a video game or other piece of software treats you like PoE2 and PoE treats you, you are the product. Stop being the product.

" Or maybe, just maybe hear me out. People praise POE1 because it is the only game i have played where i put in 10k+ hours and i still want to play more? Could that be reason? Just maybe? |
|
"No, no. An influencer told you that PoE1 is like fresh cut bread, that's the reason why you put in over 10k hours UwU [Removed by Support]
