Sorry to my pal who passed me the Early Access key. But I'm giving up...

How about you stop following build guides and actually learn how to play the game

Like developing 6th sense and avoid off-screen attacks?

You spent more time posting than playing today. What's up?

I gave out 6 early access keys and absolutely no one enjoyed the game.
You know it's bad when people consider "free" as too high of an investment for a product.

Wow. You bought 6 packs? But how about yourself? What are the things you enjoy in the game enough to shower the devs with multiple supporter packs?

And your 6 friends? Are they gamers who experienced ARPG titles like Diablo, or Sacred before? Or casual candy-crush gamers?

What's their issue with POE2? Similar to mine?

TBH, the vast potential of this game still lingers in my heart, despite me uninstalling it. Maybe after a while, I'll be gone from the forums too. Apologies for my annoyance. Allow me to indulge in this thread a bit more...

I wasn't replying to you. Your post is fine. I was replying to the guy that's been forum camping all day and trying to fling crap at anyone who posts feedback that isn't glowing.

Just that, the 10% exp punishment is not well thought out.

I do not reject this idea; rather, I have questioned its validity in several aspects.

Game transform to Souls Like ARPG and it looks like is not for me.

I do not play to frustrate myself (I experience enough frustration at work); I play for enjoyment.

So, I step aside and observe, holding onto hopes for change: a penalty for a better system.

Most of them came from the Liberator of Wraeclast supporter pack, which I foolishly bought believing that PoE 2 would be even slightly as good as PoE 1.

We are all arpg veterans since Diablo 1 and most of us have been huge fans of PoE 1 for over a decade.

Unfortunately Jonathan's vision just doesn't align fun fun, engaging, or interesting gameplay.

I was able to tolerate 0.1 but they were not, and when 0.2 hit I knew the game was not what was promised.

Why?
It's not a job, we don't need to be better at a pastime offering little pleasure, why waste limited spare time in this way? It's not especially enjoyable, it is a slow and overly clunky game: why do something with no net payoff that isn't fun?

Maybe ten years back on these forums (well, PoE1) there was a fine thread with a passage quote from a game designer (Breivik?) about artificial difficulty in a game. I think he used the analogy of a light switch: you can make the switch harder to use, conceal it, put spikes on the activation surface, basically add friction to the interface, and this extends the puzzle - but actually none of this makes it a better light switch.
THat lesson seems to have been entirely disregarded in PoE2, which is all about the friction and outside of some extra boss mechanics adds nothing to the gameplay.

I understand this is a role playing game, but I don't think the best role to play should be shopkeeper. - AlteraxPoe

Holy cow, that IS a wise analogy. God dang, this wisdom passed over their heads (current devs) lol...
