New patch G won't make a difference, change my mind

Patch G might show whats wrong with the build diversity...

Easy acess for good loot might show new builds - or showing there is no option besides meta.

Let's hope for the best. I really want to try another class even enjoying a lot my Lich.
Can't wait. 100% agree with their approach. So much so I bought a supporter pack
I think it's in their agenda, to make a terrible environment so that they know for sure they accidentaly didn't give players too much. I bet they expect a lot of backlash from the community, so they can slowly start adding stuff till the backlash will stop, without making players too happy. I strongly believe they don't want EA to be a good experience, I think they make it as rough of an experience as they can possibly get away with on purpose, to fine tune it so that 1.0 will be at the edge of being rewarding - enough to make you hooked but not enough so you don't feel like your character is ever "done".

By doing that they have no regard for the frustration that it's causing and for the time people wasted because they trusted GGG wants to deliver a good EA experience. They probably believe players will come back anyway, no matter what they do, couse all the content creators will get all the people back for them. So they don't really care how we feel about the game now. They just give us a little candy here and there with the patches so we have a feeling of improvement. However this is not improvement, this is repairing the damage done.

Not true at all, I'll see more mismatched t1 rares than before.

yup. trueee

Ignorance is bliss, until it isn't

I'm not denying that some folks enjoy this patch. If you enjoy this, then you probably enjoy Elden Ring, Dark Souls, No Rest For The Wicked, etc.

But poe2 is an ARPG, yet GGG are trying to make it a souls like game too?! Didn't they say they wanted this to be a couch game that everyone can play and easily learn - old or new gamer, solo or group, and enjoy it? Yet GGG contradicts themselves by saying "skill issue" it makes no sense!

ARPG's are supposed to be all about the power scaling and power fantasy. You're supposed to have tons of character paths/build diversity to explore and play with. You're supposed to have dopamine hits of loot more and more as you progress through the game. POE2 has NONE of that... none

The game resets every 3-4 months. How can they expect anyone to play this sluggish, unrewarding, constrictive game for more than a week? GGG needs a big big reality check. Until that happens, the game is doomed.

But it is? Literally you have all the details in game, reading will help a lot, in comparison with Path of Exile 1 is a lot more easy to grasp what is going on, I don't know if you realize that.

Enjoyment is subjective, is very unlikely that a game can reach 100% enjoyment for all players, statistically saying.

That power scaling and fantasy you are dreaming about doesn't just come out of a sudden, it is required to invest a bit of time and trial and error. Is anyone stopping you to go left side of the tree as Witch? Doubt. Or as a warrior to go right top?

You probably mean more and more valuable loot which is not that beneficial (see Affliction league) where everyone was basically "rich" (in comparison with usual leagues), but some content was not run as much and therefore some build defined items were a lot more expensive.
At the eve of the end

It has given me all of that just this week alone.

I swear to god some of you people say some shit sometimes and I genuinely wonder if online forums are actually portals to other planes of existence. Like dude go off about how the game isn't currently meeting your expectations and you're not happy about the direction they're taking but are you genuinely telling me that you strongly believe in a version of reality where the GGG design team is getting together on the regular and brainstorming ways to make the game less enjoyable? That's really a real thing you think is really happening?

The first improvement is around Loot drops. The three main changes you can expect around this is to first mitigate unlucky streaks from bosses in the campaign by raising the floor of the quality of their drops. The second is to increase the quality of drops from bosses overall, and the third is to improve the drops from monsters possessed by Azmerian Wisps.

What this means is "you'll see more rares from these creatures" but what that just means is even more horrible t1 rares that drop.

Even if they are "tier 5" the odds of it being of use is still about 0%

You'll see a ring with evasion, mana regen, +20es, cast speed and physical damage to attacks

it'll make still nothing of use. and this is why
Last Epoch and Diablo are winning among most people.

Killing a boss and getting a cruddy tier 8 random mixed nothing drop is still that, just cruddy.

UPDATE: LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE
It's not QUANTITY we want, it's gameplay and quality. Loot doesn't have to be class based in my opinion, always thought that felt unnatural. But if 100s of hours brings me zero upgrades with out trading. Then the game is the vision you wanted.

"
A start...theres so much more problems to address (armor, crafting, trials, atlas layout, RNG mechanics)

This game doesn't have crafting, it has scratch tickets. And generally you get a dollar here and there. only 1 in 5k people get the 50,000 winner.

This game isn't about skill, but rather, luck.

true crafting is a bloody slot machine
I hope they have a great week off and refocus.

the game isn't as bad as everyone is crying about it being honestly. Played last epoch today, it's a great game, just not as good as PoE 2. Feels very easy and arcadey.

One of the biggest issues for me is the current state of loot, it's not as awful as everyone on here is complaining about, but lack of options and the one affix per one currency item use is prohibitive at this stage in the game's life, so I'm happy that they are looking at drops from the game in general.

Hope they get around to looking at mace skills too, it's extremely unrewarding compared to almost all the other options (except minions), and as a game with good arpg positional combat, I think we need maces to feel as good as possible to allow melee enjoyers some fun too.
