Warrior & Movement Speed (Penalty)

Try beating Arbiter with 27,6% movement speed. I literally tried 10 times before I could run from point A to B in the "Fire Seed" phase. For those who don´t know what that is the Arbiter of Ash summons a bunch of seeds on the ground (like a memory/reaction game). Then you are supposed to reach the glowing seed before the arena explodes and kills you instantly.

The thing is that Arbiter for some (fudging) reason can first off spawn these seeds ALL THE WAY ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ARENA. I can tell you it is IMPOSSIBLE to reach the seeds with 27,6% movement speed. Im-fudging-possible. So when I removed my armour for the fight (:D) with 35% I was able to reach the seeds.

Before you ask yeah I used movement skills but leap slam and shield charge aren´t really that good in Seed Phase because they have a very limited range and LONG LONG windup. So basically you´re better of just running anyway. Shield charge is okay for the Fire Wind Curtain-thing if you are close enough to the actual safe zone.

In PoE1 you have this sexy node in the Warrior section of the skill tree that gives you the benefit of ignoring movement speed penalties from heavy armour. So a few points here. First of all fantasy wise ofc it makes sense that plate armour slows you down right. But after all a warrior with a lot of strength should be able to maneuver in heavy armour just fine? Right?

The player movement speed is really hard to stack on the warrior side of the tree anyway and then we get a penalty for wearing body armour and a shield. Like all the other classes they either have no movement speed penalty for their armor class or they have movement speed nodes right there in the start or pretty close to the starting point.

Would it be too much to ask for that sweet sweet node from PoE1 where you ignore movement speed penalties from armour to the starting point of Warrior? Feels kind of unfair to be unable to beat bosses because you can´t stack enough movement speed for their mechanics.

Arbiter could do a little work on the Fire Seed and Fire Curtain phase anyway.. Sometimes the mechanics still overlap in a weird way where you can´t even tell where you are supposed to go.

listen man if you wear heavy armour its your choice and that stuff is heavy, so it is unrealistic to not expect to be slowed down because well, like ummm, its heavy.

it would be unrealistic to not have a penalty for carrying around such heavy metal.
the same goes for the small player inventory its unrealistic to carry so much stuff around, the vision for the game forbids it..

i dont care how many times you have to portal to town or if a map takes you five minutes longer the engagement metrics look great at the shareholders meetings!

so stop asking for such ridiculous changes i have more important things to do such as fire lightining bolts out of the arse of my character and vaporize three screens of enemies

its another example of impractical idealism, grand ideas on paper that absolutely suck in reality. Armour is heavy, GGG, we know. It's still a game, and all this does is unnecessarily punish players for picking melee, what is already the worst class and worst defense type. It's crazy that they implemented this and haven't reversed it yet.
Armor is heavy yeah we know that ! The problem is not just that we get slowed by it, its because armor is in a ridiculous state currently, so you end up bein slow AND still get one shot with high armor values.

1-

GGG needs to FIX armor values to be more effective against large hits. (Or a way to greatly improve your armor value such as determination aura in poe1)

2-

PUT SOME LIFE NODES IN THE SKILL TREE !!!!!!

As a life base character its still impossible to come close to be as tank as ES builds. Don't worry I have a solution ; all around the skill tree where build are mostly life based put some small nodes and notable passive that give % more maximum life.
For example you could have a cluster of 4 nodes like this ;
+ 3% more maximum life
+ 3% more maximum life
+ 3% more maximum life
+ 5% more maximum life

Dunno man, with how weak armor is I am thinking it is made of paper, cannot be that heavy.
Punishing a class for the gear they are expected to use in a FANTASY setting is a double standard. How about we apply this same real life logic to every other facet of the game?

I dont play a warrior and it ticks me off seeing a class gimped like that while mechanics exist to put you at an unfair disadvantage.

I guess Warriors should swap to non warrior gear then for these fights?

Yeah seems weird that warrior needs to rags when actually beating on the big guys.
Yes the warrior is in dire need of some way to increase movement speed that does not rely on boots. Windups take longer than it does to run the distance the skills cover...
