Poe 2 is like getting a carrot when you want chocolate.
Just disappointing...

I hate to pile on, but I will be taking a break for Last Epoch and observing changes from afar. Playing a little bit tonight, but Epoch solely when it comes out.

Loot drops and a lack of crafting are the main culprits. The end game needs more as well.

I don't want a D4 drop rate, but I don't wish for this dearth of loot drops. I don't want league mechanics to mean nothing.


Wisps - why do they exist? They do nothing

Breach - pain in my ass to collect loot (splinters)

Expedition - why even bother, the whole mechanic sucks ass. Should just direct import PoE Expedition mechanic, why you diverted from this I have no idea.

Ritual is prolly the only mechanic that is worth a damn, even then it was my least favorite mechanic in terms of loot when it comes to PoE1.

Rogue Exiles: Hey, let's add this cool new mechanic for players that never actually occurs. Plus, on the off chance they do get one to spawn, let's make it worthless.

I loved .1, but .2 is a stinker. I felt the drop rate was just right, my only gripe was %rarity on gear was screwed up. When you guys announced your changes, I HOPED, although I knew this was not going to be the case. That you would buff the loot drop rate overall, and then nerf diminishing returns on +rarity on gear. Thereby allowing us to focus on more power stats.

That sure as hell didn't happen.

Keep in mind that many of the big streamers are "no lifers" -- IE: they can play (and often do as part of their day job) the game for 8+ hours a day. When you play that long, even with dogshit odds, you're eventually going to accrue things.

I always laugh at this idea of "streamer clients". I mean, I suppose it's *possible* --- I've worked on MMOs and know what can be done to change things for some accounts vs others --- but it'd be silly to do that and I really don't think they do.

Remember: If the drop rate is .01% and you only play for an hour here or there, it takes longer for you to get lucky and see the result (as far as actual calendar days / etc).

But if you're playing 10+ hours... you'll win eventually.

I really wish GGG would publish it's odds for things. Because to hear Jonathon say things like "Well the mathematics on this are good, so it should work" is just infuriating.

If your base drop rate is shit (let's say even just 1%) 400, 500, even 600 percent increase still is going to be shit. Oooooo now I'm at maybe 5%. Blech.

I don't know what is up but once I start playing red maps, I should either:

1) Be getting damn good magic gear that if it's not good for me I should be able to trade to others for $$ so I can buy good gear from others
2) Bases that actually apply to ME more than NOT to me, AND sufficient gambling currency to be able to throw away at trying to craft what I want.

In the absence of either of the above, all this base gear drop in T11+ is infuriating.

Unfortunately they already have about 350 of my dollars.

They don't deserve a bad review, honestly.

But I might just be quitting until some fixes happen too, and I'm a notorious fanboy.

No such thing as streamer clients.

I've streamed on and off for years, was pretty popular when a game called Paragon was out and Epic owned it - they dropped in and gave my viewers codes for cosmetics, but there are no clients for streamers. Fortnite killed Paragon though,I still kick myself because I was invited as an Epic Partner and creator for the alpha version of Fortnite, missed my million dollar boat there, but kept my dignity at least.

I don't even get carrots. I get the carrot tops that everyone cuts off and throws away.

And I am so sad... I am on business trip in a hotel with all the time to play my favourite game, except, I am just not finding any pleasure in playing it anymore.

Which is so sad beacuse the game has all the foundations and all the puzzle pieces to became the greatest game of all times.

GGG,please listen to us. We want to play your game but we need build variety and we need to be rewarded with loot and power.
