LS is good to clear maps... so lets talk

1- terrible survival.

2- evassion is bad... in 99.9% of time it fails. i have a java with 75% evassion, level 90.

3- terrible boss killing T15-16.

4- no charges... and when you got them they simply go too fast.

5- lack of toughness, that includes life, and as i said above, EVASSION IS A FAILURE. in fact that passive tree is bad, lack of toughness and bad design are evident. you cant even find 1 adequate slot to add a radiuos jewel to improve damage.

6- terrible block rate.

7- because of your terrible crafting system, to get a suitable jewel for the java girl with complet good rolls is almost impossible.

All of these points sans 1 apply to basically every character in this game, which is terrible bossing killing...which is solved by using serpent strike for you.

This game will die because they refuse to fix the absurdly stupid endless 1 shot AOE/on death/bugs/glitches that constantly kill you over and over with no recourse.

The defensives in this game are absolutely pathetic and until that is fixed theo nly recourse for the playerbase is to play the most OP broken offensive build in the game to be able to actually play the damn game.

They then upped this mind boggling decision by removing the only thing that helped at all grim feast, which is hilarious considering even with 10k ES you still died 24/7 just the same. Now you walk around with 2.5k hp and garbage armor/ES and get 1 shot by everything on the screen.

Just mind blowing stupid decisions that are killing this game.

I can empathize.

The actual post the user was trying to convey was LS is way better even with these drawbacks than the Warrior.

If I may also contribute my own perspective;

1) The Warrior class has been underwhelming from launch.
1a) When I say underwhelming, it simply is a game design (GGG's vision) that does not align majorly with, in my opinion, a newbie/pro fun play style.
2) Everything is gated, and feels extremely gated.

Personal experience on Standard: I rolled 2 Warriors both Titans. ! got fucked due to missing 2 skill points. So rolled a 2nd. The first time I played, Perfect Strike felt powerful with 2 support gems. I was 2 shooting things while face tanking. Campaign was fun. I had extreme difficulty on maps. Due to dying a lot. I learnt that gold could be used to purchase good items from the vendor (gambling). Then found out there was a gated effect (it was tied to the number of unique monsters killed). Ok, so grind killing shit.

Then I got bored at T1s to T3s. T4 and above still can kill me. But I cannot get Atlas points to spawn more modifiers to get better rates or more uniques to spawn. This is another gated feeling.

So I rolled another Warrior and played crossbow. That was sooo much better. Ranged can kill every shit. Even with 2 support gems. I got to end game and suffered the same issue. BUT I had 24 skill points, and tried the stampede build. I could not get items or currency to save my life but I still found some fun. Then I hit the gate t15. I could not finish any of these maps even if they were blues. I can confirm I had been trying to max my Resists as best as possible - 7x%. I cannot kill things fast enough. It seems like I needed to sacrifice MF stats for something which gives resists. OK, but at this point by the time I learned of this I am out of maps, and money.

Before you jump on the trade train, I am simply playing standard to learn the game. I enjoy being in a pseudo SSF. Unless anyone can tell me otherwise that SSF has better drop rates. I got my first lesser jewelers with 61% MF in Cruel act 1. I got my 1st Exalted orb from a trade lol. So yeah usable loot and currency is a huge gate. [This would be in Dawn of the Hunt, but similar experience at launch].

The trading experience is abysmal. I had so much listed items which I didn't care for price event vendor rings for 1/2exalts. I just want to play the game. Trading is not supposed to feel like a chore lol. Like am I supposed to us a portal to go out to trade for my precious exalt? my kill rate and drop rates are already so bad, and then I am forced to evaluate my life to make the trade or continue to gamble my life for potentially clearing the map for some drops or die in vain.

This is not fun.

Then I started Dawn of the Hunt. Warrior felt good till Act 2. Perfect Strike was not hitting as hard. Bloody normal Jamanra almost wrecked my existence to the point where I am thinking why is totem hitting so low and PS is not doing much. Tried to use resonating strike but too slow to trigger armour strip.

Forgemaster was unplayable.
I had 79% fire and 56% Ice going into Doryani. -8% Lightning. Without any means, I used all 5 orbs to slot lightning and I still had to fight him for 20mins lol.

Then Cruel came. Geoneor 2 shot me with the tracking Ice Spike. I realized, I have 19% Ice resists due to the 40% penalty. OK. So I slot in Ice runes over writing my Lightning. Still took me 4 perfect strikes to get him to stage 2 and another 15 mins of actually fighting to land another 5 perfect strikes.

Perfect Strikes can miss when heavy stunned. I have no fucking clue why. Oh and when that bitch rolls over, he can move you and you do not have tracking so your positioning gets screwed. Not fun.

Then I get to the Flamethrower lade and get 99% from "Get over here!". LOL.
I go back to slot Fire runes now.
Killed some shit and got Hammer at 52.
Slotted Exploit and consume armour.
It took 1/4 health... Not fun.
Look GGG, I do not mind fighting her to gain the opportunity to hammer her for 50%.
That is OK. You struggle, play mechanics, prep, and you need to feel rewarded for doing all that work for 50 to 75% damage. To see that life drop. But wow, 25%? Like what the hell?

I mean sure, the damage can get better with more jewelers orbs. But they are not dropping.
I need support gems level 3. When will they drop? I am skimping and saving whatever level 2s so that when I get to 52 I can have 2 to slot. Where can I test build diversity? When exactly?

This is not fun.

The game vision and what you offer is fun.
All these gate keeping is not fun.

Please consider making changes to the game, and not to the 'experience'. I know this is abstract, please allow me to expand.

Smith of Kitava is an interesting and fun class.
Temper Weapon is a fun mechanic. But limiting to 12 attacks is not fun.
When I temper with 12 uses, and swing air, it loses 1 use. Why?
I would make it a 5 min buff with a 60 second CD to cast.
That is fun. You know what else is fun? Finding a shrine with meteor show lasting 3 mins. Similar concept. I am actively trying to run around finding things to kill while meteor shower is active. Fun.

You know how else Smith can be fun? Allow Temper to work on both Weapons and Armour.
Choose the free passive, and select up to 2 additional stats.
Temper Weapon hits 5 times and empowers 5 different items, weapon, helmet, gloves, offhand, boots.
Miss a Temper cycle and something doesn't get buffed. Sure, so be it. Let us gamble.
That is also fun.

I think the structure of the game is phenomenal. Before the actual balance, can we have 'fun'?
Let's not dampen fun so that you do not need to work on the 'game'.

Example the light stun change. This is a good change to improve overall fun gameplay. I dont need to be micro stunned 3 billion time while charging my perfect strike.

Shit is only supposed to hit the fan at end game but damn the whole process to end game is gated. Abysmal loot, little currency, no incentive to test and try builds because you can't progress.

I would suggest this unpopular opinion: I liked locked Ascendencies. That is fine. But can you remove the gold for respecting the passives? Keep the Ascendency locked/gold walled gated. But let us respect as we want until level 70? Maybe make us spend gold to increase passive points after level 70/80?

1. It doesn't have terrible survival, with ghost dance and wind dance I am more immortal than your warrior.
2. In your dreams maybe. Evasion paired with a form of mitigation and some life recovery is the best form of defense in the game. In any game not just in this.

Why not at the very least re-introduce the other broken builds from 0.1 so people can at least play as monks and stormweavers, stat stackers, etc. You already have 1 class breaking the game so whats the difference
LS isn't the only big clear build out there. You can certainly get started with a much lower investment than some others.

On the other hand... all the OP builds from 0.1 were pretty much OP right up until 0.2 so why would you expect LS to work out differently?


You don't have to play LS. I started by playing Twisters myself. Thought it was bit one-dimensional so added Quarterstaff to the build since spear didn't have any good melee options.

And now I am hybrid god in both ele damage and phys damage, bouncing in and out of the fight. Oneshotting rares from distance or dashing through them.

Ok it takes me around 2 min to kill citadel bosses like Doryani, but that is more of self-crafted weapon issue. Map bosses die very fast.

Watched Ben, that streamer, play Lightning spear. Seems bit overpowered clearing mobs 3 screens away. But might be just his trade league gear. Maybe it could use some nerfs as soon as possible?

You should look up the corrupting cry warbringer from 0.1

I tested it in 0.2 standard and it still works fine and actually received a few notable buffs to AoE and explosion on kill. It is one you switch to ~40 after earthshatter leveling, but the gearing is super easy and it can handle all 4 trials and t15s without any fuss.

You stack corrupting blood stacks on enemies/bosses. It is pretty good tbh.
No Alteration orbs/Skills&Ascendancies from 0.1 that remain broken in 0.2/Drop rate of greater & perfect jewelers/Rhoas being locked behind 130 dex requirement as of 0.2E
