Ascendancy Class Respec Feedback

Hello,

I think this change is good only for early access so you can change things mid-ladder more rapidly.

I think this system should go away and you are locked into your ascendancy once release and proper ladders start.

I love the trial of sekhemas and trial of chaos, they are some of my favorite things to farm, and believe in strong class identity.

Otherwise I would not have made 1 of every class last ladder. I would have stopped with 1 of each base class and respec'd around.

I am OK with the respec being there IF you freeze a persons place on their class ladder when they switch. If that's how it works already, this is the happy middle ground.

I think once deployed there is no come back. Maybe they can try make it harder before release the patch, but community will react like 0.2.0 patch, it's a difficult position and now they committed to the change.
How dumb is this thread? Extremely 🤣

Hello PoE tourist, I am glad you are enjoying this game I have enjoyed so much for so long.

Thank you for your helpful and thoughtful contribution towards the discussion of the weight of class identity in ARPGs.

if you dont want to change your ascendancy then... dont.
it's literally that simple.
I don't see why they would even need to lock it after ea. There's no reason it should be locked
A middle ground would be allowing for respecs by retrial only during the campaign, but you have to keep it during the endgame.
Impatience is insatiable.

For ladder placement.

GGG can try their best for balance, but if there is an ascendancy that massively
overperforms, you can get ladder placement on that ascendancy then switch ascendancies.

My happy middle ground is that your ladder placement is frozen on your ORIGINAL ascendancy.

I know most people dont race or play ladders or care, but it's important to me, especially on diablo 2.

Could you imagine playing a hammerdin or sorc or zon and being high on ladder due to theire early advantages then switching to Necro and retaining your placement?

Whoever ladder started necro/dudu would be pissed.

They would have to freeze your place on the ladder would be a happier middle ground I think, but your solution is something I personally find more agreeable.

For the casuals, keep the ladder sacred and I'm fine with it endgame respec.

It's not when it comes to ladder placement, which is the point I made if you even read my post.
