ES has always been another life bar. Invest in regen and other buffs and it works just fine.
I mean a life bar that only lasts through the first mob encounter pretty much. I've taken every reasonable ES node I can on my Stormweaver so far. The amount of ES is fine, and the regen is fine during bosses because there's some breathing room, but in any mapping situation otherwise, ES is offline almost immediately in a mob encounter and stays off because so much stuff is rapidly hitting you. You have to actively disengage if you're not one shotting everything since Grim Feast isn't there to supply some mid-combat sustain once you kill a few things.

I do agree that endgame mobs are too fast and swarmy. I believe this will be addressed. I also suggest trying Convalescence with ingenuity support to manually start your ES regen.

Of course I had tried Conv. I had tried everything. Both on game but mostly on PoB. Every combination possible...
Result are bad and very bad.
High-end builds are useless now. It's sad to have a 98 lvl build and can't go 100 , everything you try...
Again, w8ing for GGG devs to share some "vision" on how they CAN sustain a build on above conditions.

I actually went to make sure I tried it with Ingenuity but that support isn't even compatable with Convalescence, guess they really want to make sure there's no way to cheese ES.

All I see in this topic is: "Waaaaaaaaaaah my SSS-tier energy shield build doesn't work anymore!"
Now you know how we armor users felt for months.

Unfortunately forums are only for GGG to ... announce.
This is not communication, this is a v2 monologue.

Oh no, a beta character that will be deleted on release is unplayable. What a shame.
