Volatile Plants what can i do against them?
Hey everyone,
since a few days im in endgame and everything works fine, but i noticed since im in endgame, that there are rare mobs with the mod volatile plants. I die nearly everytime to them, so i tried to get some chaos resis and they still do the same amount of damage. Im a smith of kitava with 54% chaos resis and for single target i need to charge my attacks, but most of the time i see the volatiles to late and i die. When all 3 bubbles hit me im dead. Thats very annoying because 70% of all my deathes its because of them. Do the volatiles make chaos damage? I didnt notice any damage reduction from 0% to 54% chaos resis. just avoid them...Capping your resistance to chaos helps, as there is a big difference between 54% and 75%. That's 21% less damage.
Better just avoid them and strike when they are not there.. This mod is nasty anyway... Everything feels like archnemesys again, because of the overlapping mods that simply break some builds...Temporal bubble + hasted + energy shield/molten shell + some fire thing on the mobs simply break any melee build to be honest, unless you slap him on the first try. Never invite Vorana, Last To Fall at a beer party.

Its a difficult life as melee yes, but i try to be tanky, so some mistakes can be forgiven. But the volatiles surprise me everytime. Sometimes im in the middle of a charge and when i see them, its to late.
There are no mistakes allowed. I will try to cap my chaos resistance. |

" between 54% and 75% it is a 54% damage difference. Imagine incomming damage was 100. With 54% resit you take 46 damage. With 75% you take 25 damage. You reduce your damage by over 50% |

" I'm capped and it doesn't really make a difference when your body blocked in a crowd (who otherwise cannot hurt you) 2 plants pretty much wipes me and I can tank most T15 boss damage lol it's very overturned. It's one of the mechanics I stopped playing the warrior over to begin with lol. That and the single target DPS just falls off so bad. |

Dont know what is it like in this patch, but previous patch
2.4k life, 65% chaos res warbringer was oneshotted by those crap on t13 maps. But they came in pack of 3s anyway so even Turtle charm was just a gamble... The trick is to kite and dance: a) let the orbs reach you because it takes a second or two to detonate kite further b) put the orbs between you and the rare: use a charge typze skill on the boss. When you pass through the orbs it will explode, but you're already over. |

I have now 67% chaos resis and died since my post 2 times again to that volatiles. It didnt get better.
In one situation i leap slamed in one of these slow/time bubbles and i got slowed in the air. On my landing there were already some volatiles waiting for me. It was a death i could 3-4 seconds see before it actually happened. Does chaos resis even matter against the volatiles? It seems they ignore any resistances. |

You can have them detonate/reset without damaging you by running through them, or rolling away after they begin to trigger, because they have a delay before they burst. Movement speed is probably important for this. Otherwise, you just have to damage the rare while running away from them.
