0.2.0 Hotfix 6

This is how I feel:
200 hours messing about with the POE2 characters, I was super excited for the added content, but this patch just took the wind out of my sails.

I played a lot of POE1 and I am now thinking that POE2 has no reason to exist. The game loop feels exactly the same as POE1 but with better graphics. Playing POE2 Simulacrum you feel like you are playing POE1 with a controller. I think early access is a mistake. In 2024-5 people expect a nearly finished product. In 2011 we were starved for the next Diablo-like game and GGG delivered the right game at the right time and kept the game alive with an unbelievable run of successive expansions.

POE2 feels like a failure. If it is the successor to POE1, as the name implies, it needs to have the same effect that POE1 did. It needs to be the right game at the right time. I played Open Beta, ran races alongside such ancient legends as Kripparian, it was exhilarating and so fun.

We don't need POE2 yet. We can't make ourselves want and love something we already have and love more.

or release a new poe1 league cause that game is fun

Agreed, I was watching over at twitch. Whoever in the dev team thought that Souls like was supposed to be a long fight against a common mob was the essence of it... is totally misguided. A souls game will respect your time if you are really good at the game. You can easily slay white mobs through back stabs, or parry crits and breeze through the zones.

Non of that is present in POE2, instead what they only did was make all common enemy damage sponges, thinking that would equate to a "meaningful and difficult fight".

As for the spear skills, there is skill expression, but not enough reward for the combo to be worth it.

Thanks for trying to slap a band aid on the game to help balance but i personally wont be playing poe2 any longer anytime soon. good luck

Realm reset when?

I went to bed hoping that this '0.20 Hotfix 6' update would have been restored, but it still hasn't...what a joke do your freaking job it's launch day...I want you guys to win here but you're making it real hard...
