I agree, this whole "Doomsday" attitude is super annoying and doesn´t really help given good and constructed criticism for GGG and I wish that people would have this in mind when making hateful posts.

As someone that has been here for 10 years of so. I say we have a bigger white knights, supershills issue here than the "Spoil brats" that defend GGG like a cultists.

I am old enough to remembered classics like the salvage box, or charging for mouse cursors cases, where super shills praised GGG for eventually remove the salvage box and added free mouse cursors....after getting backlashes.

Thats like paising someone that want to punch you but decided not to (after being held back by bystander), and you paise him for being nice.

Don't forget all the shills that keep defending lootboxes. Its evil when other have lootboxes, but GGG, its fine....

Don't get me wrong. Blindly ranting & use insult are not fine, but so are all tehc cultists tha defend everything GGG do & refuse to entertain any negative feedback.

Spoiled ? ggg was saying we were gonna have a full beta last year with the complete game around june last year. Now they re saying they dont even envision a complete game by end of 2025. There isnt a single new endgame mechanic in poe 2 so far. Only copy pasted from poe 1. And the game developpment supposedly started years ago. Poe 1 will have a 1 year league and had half assed leagues before.

Lol my mistake, it seems I made my original post too difficult to understand as there seems to be confusion as to the point I was making.

So I will sum it up in a more succinct manner.

Feedback with blanket statements and remarks like 'GGG doesn't care about us if they don't do this/did this' sounds like childish whining (or a weird attempt to emotionally manipulate a gaming company). Such things tend to diminish the seriousness and value of feedback.

My original post was me expressing my opinion and it still remains that I see such posts as whinging. The use of spoilt brat, childish, whinging, whining are descriptors of the impression given by emotionally manipulative statements in the context of feedback on a forum.

I'm not sure how some took that as me dictating how people must respond, nor did I supply templates merely examples in order of what I meant. It doesn't affect me personally how feedback is posted I just have a bit of a giggle or a sigh and an eyeroll at ones that strike me as juvenile.

I will point out that I didn't suggest or demand any of the following points:
-you can't be angry when you post (or anything about what emotional state you should/shouldn't be in to post.
-posting when angry invalidates the feedback
-that it must be an in-game thing
-that I requested others to use a template
-that I asked people to refrain from posting if it doesn't meet my criteria
-that I posted criteria; they were examples of my suggestions


Questions I have on some of the feedback to my post

Where did I brag? (Providing suggestions on basic feedback skills?)
Where did I say/imply that I know everything? (perhaps we have a different understanding of what a know-it-all is)
What did I preach (I preached? I didn't think my post was particularly tedious or obtrusive. I thought I was fairly gentle with only a bit of sarcasm) that I failed to follow?
Where did I dictate? (Suggestions aren't orders, we are in a forum not the military.)
I'm not bothered by the silly remarks, I suspect trolls or peeps who didn't like what I said, but if someone does believe their accusation is valid I wonder if you would quote the text in my original post that supports it? That is me asking not ordering, dictating, demanding or otherwise imposing my will on said posters for validation.

'Spoilt brat' was a descriptor of the impression some feedback gave me, How on earth did you take it to mean GGG is spoiling the players with reams of PoE2/PoE content?
No new endgame mechanic? Are we playing the same game? The atlas is vastly different, (which I'm really enjoying) Endless atlas for staters, being able to roll mods then decide what map they'll apply to, being able to set up areas for to really boost different content like ritual or expedition. Or a wide area focused on boosting XP, which makes leveling at 95+ a bit better. The whole gear and skill gem integration has changed drastically, no need to try to get the right colours (or amounts) of sockets on the gear I want my toon to equip. Definitely not copy/pasted from POE. (Not saying the game or any parts thereof are perfect, still several improvements I'm hoping for and some that will be implemented in Dawn of the Hunt.)

Imo it’s a matter of common decency to filter a bit of the most toxic emotional end of one’s own posts. You can either sift through your own shit for the little nuggets of actionable feedback, or you can dump the whole septic tank for the mods to wade through because it’s “their job”. I think option 1 is healthier for everyone involved

Consider stating what it is that you dislike/want changed without implying;
-that everyone else feels the same
-that if your complaint is ignored then no one cares
-that they aren't listening

-that they just care/don't care about a certain subset of the player base e.g. the top 1%, the HC, the SC, newbies, people with a life, people without a life, streamers or people whose skills suck so terribly they die all the time.

Feedback will sound far more mature if you state your desired changes or dislikes without the 'mom he's being mean vibe'

Not saying don't be passionate, absolutely be clear on how bad/good a certain aspect of the game feels to you and importantly why it feels that way.
--Maze like maps with a myriad dead ends are frustrating you, state why it's frustrating-takes too long to clear, my buff/charges expire, I already have to backtrack because of flicker strike
--Endless atlas is great but not being able to zoom out farther and have some form of coordinate system or being able to put markers/pins on the atlas makes it hard to find that epic area you planned to work on next.

I'd also suggest refraining from coming across as the braggart 'know-it-all'. Unless you're one of their employees you don't actually know how hard/easy something would be to implement/how to implement/ or if they just can't be bothered because you don't have access to all the information informing their decisions.

Now food for thought here complaints such as : not all content is available/too many bugs, the game isn't finished they're developing it while we play, during Early Access probably aren't very helpful. Or necessary.

You're probably right, but it doesn't really matter, because you came across as a tool and a hypocrit in presentation. There's no confusion over your "point"; you just did exactly what you "suggested" people don't do.
