PS5 & PC | Exit to Character Select freezes game PoE2 0.1.1g

same here on pc. windows 11. just started recently. game doesn't even freeze necessarily for me, as in the game animations continue, but no input is read and the screen text displays "switching to character select" or whatever and i need to close the application

also been having the servers are not available message someone else mentioned that is remedied by just clicking login until it works, NA servers

we need a dev response here. maybe a work around for now

Since I came back I haven't ever been able to exit to character select. After the freeze I can still bring up the menu but for example exit to login won't work. However, exit poe2 does work and closes the client for me.

So for now I've been using exit to login. Which you can do if you choose it first. It won't work as noted if you had just tried to exit to character select. It's not bad unless the below happens at that moment.

Which leads to where sometimes that works fine. Other times I get that the server is down for maintenance. As others have said you then play the game of clicking the message away and hitting login until it works.

Some days I don't get this at all. Other times I can get that message 50+ times before I can login.

PC steam player here - good to know its not just me. hopefully todays patch addresses this issue only way to fix is to completely exit the game
