SSF: Only for the Elite? >:)

SSF is for people that like to play games on their own terms and feel like they earned every moment of it. Now, this doesn't always work perfectly, unless the game devs make it so. Unfortunately, POE 1 and 2 are not SSF friendly, because the design philosophy is against that very concept. Doesn't stop people from trying.
I only play SSF because I simply despise the way trade works in POE. It's annoying, and disruptive. |

"Playing" trade for me means grinding currency the most efficient way possible so that I can buy my build. Playing SSF means actually playing the game.
Finding the right items is just infinitely more satisfying on SSF. |

While it's rare I make a character on an SSF league, I play in that style, mostly because 'just buy gear' is immensely unsatisfying. But I like to give 'good' items I find, but have no use for, to friends.

For me SSF and trade are just different experiences. I love both. SSF is when I feel like gambling a bit and making a build around a whatever unique I will be lucky to get :) Trade is for the true fun of exploration and trying different ideas. Both are good, but in different ways. SSF teaches how to work with what you get, which I find very helpful in the trade environment as well.
