why the steam issues?

It's like a 50/50 when you guys take servers down for updates whether or not steam will properly push the update or we just lose out on like an hour of play time.

I second this, it keeps prompting me to restart and install update when I try to log on.
So I restart, and steam starts validating the poe files (not actually downloading or installing). After that is done, the cycle repeats. |
