Campaign is dog$&!^

This was probably discussed a million times but now reaching 80 levels to get the free MTX that i didn't need I am so turned off by POE that there is no way I will touch it again for a long time. Complete burn out, mostly because of this damn campaign of 10 acts....

I've run it so many times I want to vomit of mere idea that it exists. Is there anything we can do to skip it? Like a league where you don't need to run it, just endgame with whatever basic weapons, level 70, some currency for skills for lily and off we go. Id like that very much as endgame is very good (the Atlas version, not this phercia) but to get there, it is such an ardous, boring, labourious task that sucks the fun of Poe for months.

Probably a league that gives an alternative route to running campaign like either run this crap or do something else is what is needed.

Either way im out, byeeee

If you have trouble blasting through the campaign in 4 hours, you are the person the campaign is for.

Precisely. You'd think after more of a decade of GGG not giving players a campaign skip, they'd get the hint. What's next, after the campaign and death penalty is gone, a boost straight into red tier maps?

Thankfully neither of the above will happen, ever.
Just play D4 and leave PoE.

"You don't like this repetitive content? Go play some other game with a lot worse or nonexistent mechanics and endgame."

That's the most absurd response to not finding trawling through the campaign for the nth time enjoyable.

I also don't think you should have to train yourself to speedrun the game to get to the actual fun parts either. That sort of behavior just encourages an even faster burnout.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.

4-5 hours isn't speedrunning, though? It's just being moderately competent, on a build which isn't garbage.

The campaign is the tutorial. If you struggle with the tutorial, you need to play more of the tutorial.

Besides, I reject completely your assertion that the campaign is repetitive and not fun. It's functionally identical to 120 or so maps automatically chained end to end, only with significantly more variety of tilesets, layouts, and enemies. There's also significantly less out of combat downtime (no rolling maps, etc) and about 10 times more character progression. It's allllmost like literally every single "I hate the campaign" player is arguing in bad faith, because they're unwilling to admit the actual reason they want a campaign skip...

In a completely unrelated note, GGG need to add the PoE2 "bosses heal to full if you die" failstate to the PoE1 campaign bosses.

Are you telling me that mapping in PoE is not "repetitive content"? Srsly?

I really dont get all those campain sprinters...
Especially when it comes to challenges too.

Christ arduous atlas was 10x worse than rolling 4 toons in settlers.

The biggest difference is that running the Atlas is infinitely more rewarding than campaign. The variety and layout of tilesets is irrelevant when you're trudging through mostly empty instances devoid of any league encounters, especially if you like particular ones that only exclusively spawn once you reach maps. Then you add to the fact that you get next to no currency for the time spent, save for whatever you managed to scrape off the floor to get a mapping starter build up and running.

This is like running unmodded T1 maps without any atlas passives or scarabs. Please don't tell me you would find that fun, because otherwise you're just being a contrarian.

You can shape the atlas to give you content you actually find enjoyable and/or rewarding. You can feed scarabs to your map device to augment your experience further. The same cannot be said of act content, something you need to and have run through countless times in order to access the real fun part of the game.

Well this suggestion kind of makes things silly. As yea... its not as rewarding.

Its not supposed to be. If it were, there would be no point in end game lol.

But I dont know I see stuff like this like.... very loot centric. Like nothing else matters in the game when thinking like this.

I get the campaign is repetitive, but hating it cause of loot seems a bit silly.

The whole reward of endgame is obtaining the ability to juice. But its not like you can do it right away anyways. You dont even have all your scarab slots/stones/gear etc...
