SERIOUS - UI causing damage to monitor
This one is very simple, the Health/ES globe in the bottom left, and the Mana globe in the bottom right both have white highlights (like reflected light off a crystal ball), these highlights are causing burn in on my monitor since they are bright spots that never move regardless of what is going on in game. Fixing this would be very simple, you just need to either make them slightly animated, or turn the brightness down on those specific spots.

LOL.
While the snow remains,
veiled in the haze of evening, a cold leafless branch. Flowers are only flowers because they fall, but thankfully the Wind. |

Why is this funny?

This isn't a thing.
Those bright got white spots are a reaction to the position of any nearby luminescent/light source your character is near. They do move as you move. In my opinion it's a cool design. But no, it wouldn't burn-in on a monitor - if that's the case then any white webpage you sit on and view would behave the same - pure white pixels. Burn-in used to be a thing 20 years ago on certain screens, but our hardware has moved from such obsolete tech since. Last edited by c0rnel#6051 on Mar 31, 2025, 3:45:02 AM

" Burn in is absolutely a thing in OLED monitors. |

You are completely wrong. Photographic proof.
![]() ![]() Its like this on the left side of my monitor too, I tried to line this up as best as I could, one is just tabbed out to my desktop, you can CLEARLY see where its damaging my monitor. Last edited by UncleBunkles#2460 on Mar 31, 2025, 4:41:13 AM

" Thanks for pointing this out. I've never owned an OLED screen but I do know this is a problem with the monitor tech as it does not appear on other panel types; non-OLED. I doubt GGG will remove those luminescent dots from game anytime soon. So your only bet for now is to either continue playing it as is or use a different monitor for Poe 2. I'm surprised OLED manufacturers haven't resolved the burn-in issue by now. I don't know if I would blame this on the game as this can happen in other apps given the right circumstance. I really only wanted to make them aware of this issue just in case it became more wide spread, at least there would be documented evidence of it happening and a clear reason how and why. I can always swap out monitors so personally it isn't a huge issue for me, but not everyone has that option and I would hate for someone to be enjoying their game only to realize oops there goes hundreds/thousands of dollars.

Indeed, good point.
Thanks for providing proof. This could help the community and bring awareness to GGG. |

Just FYI @OP - This will be an issue in any game or even workflow where there is a consistent graphic on the screen without moving for hours. People quite often have UI elements of the browser as burn-in for example.
Newer OLEDS do have pixel cleaning & other technologies to reduce burn-in, but it's a risk with the tech as it currently stands. I think it's good that you raise it though, having additional UI options to simply remove the health and mana globes would be a great start, you can enable life above your character so this would be a decent low effort workaround from a dev perspective. |
