download Intel Extreme Tuning Utility and set the performance core ratio to 53 and set efficient core ratio to 43. Somewhere in your bios your pc is overclocked like mine. I have been this exact same issue where the game just alt f4s and the event viewer is saying error code 1000. The engine GGG uses is not built for new pcs that are overclocked. I am using a i9 14900KF, 4090, ddr5 4800mt/s becuase i turned off XMP. I was running at 6000.

I'd like to add another data point. I have the exact same crash on both the native and steam clients.
" It also happens with the native client. " Both of mine and all of the above event view crashes have the same exception code and fault offset, indicating the same line is crashing for all of us. " Software version: Windows 11 24H2, build 26100.3194, Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.48.0 GPU driver version: 572.70, though this has been happening for a long time. Recently ran DDU and performed a clean install of the driver without change. System specs: Asus Zephryus G15 CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900HS (not overclocked, using performance power plan on windows) GPU: RTX 3070 Laptop + 8GB VRAM RAM: 40GB (8GB on-board + 32GB) SSD: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB w/ ~ 1TB free I've locked FPS at 60 to keep GPU usage down. CPU temps generally run around 90-95c on this model, GPU sticks to around 70-80c with limited FPS. I've had the crash happen in maps, in towns, and during loading screens, so no idea what could be causing this from a user perspective. Edit: I've also followed the troubleshooting guides, and cleared caches. I've tried increasing the gpu driver shader cache size from 5GB to 10GB, no change in behaviour there. What usually happens in these situations, never had a crashing issue really. Do we just pray it goes away, like GGG never replies to these threads, or?
