Did the DEVS just give up???
Whats going on here? You could combine every patch added to the game since launch and it all equates to pretty much NOTHING. Just some slight number tweaks and *alleged* bug fixes.
>>>> Performance is still T-R-A-S-H <<<< Oh an stash tab. 3 months for a stash tab... The downfall of this game should be studied as a warning about rug pulls. I also think the U.N. should sanction New Zealand for scamming the global community. Shame on GGG Last bumped on Feb 23, 2025, 9:08:13 PM

I wouldnt want big changes during a active patch.. messes up everyones character. The big stuff you are looking for will come on the big number changes. Not 0.1.1ABCDE those aint real patches but fixes/minor stuff. 0.2 patch we should see some major changes hopefully. Which is in about a month.

Pretty much everyone knew GGG works in 3/4 month release cycles..... exactly where .2 is coming out. Like a company isn't going to change how they've developed games for the past 10+ years cause people act entitled and cry

" "everyone knew GGG was going to sell a broken half finished game full of micro transactions and leave it to rot for 4 months with no fixes just be quiet and consume product" |

" Yep, long time player here started in 3.5 -- I feel this, but I did expect faster and bigger changes than in league cycles. Myself and a few streamers called out IMMEDIATELY "Wait... is GGG going to give us updates in LEAGUE cycles like this is a fully released game?" -- that's weak. By now I already expected a HYUGE show and tell of whats coming up, OR a slow weekly drip of new content, new NPC's, quests, ascendances, classes -- I really expected ALL of the game to already be expanded upon from what we got. 0.2 feels way late, and will likely be crazy lackluster. Now if 0.2 delivers ALL of those things ON TIME i'll happily eat my words -- trust me, as a cynical person I LOVE being wrong. " Believe it or not I feel you -- But this is how GGG is and has been. That said, I expected a little more active changes in EA and I really thought we'd have regular updates, not "league style updates". As a long time player, I know and accept the 3/4 month cycle for updates, but I expected much better for EA. They made it sound like we'd be getting weekly updates, but they did mention leagues. Sometimes they can't implement changes swiftly because it's a combination of several systems causing an issue, and then they have to balance multiple systems to get the end result everyone is happier with. For 0.2 i'm expecting a LOT though.. Literally or the equivalent of a new act, new classes, new ascendancies, new NPC's, new systems, new mechanics (Blight for example), new skills, new supports, and new weapon bases. I expect all that for 0.2 |

" Going on month 8 of that 3/4 month cycle for POE1. |

Possible they gave up when they no longer had a vested interest in the company. They get a salary whether they do good or not.
But I really think(hope?) it is just poor decision making. Which is solved by replacing Jonathan at the helm and letting him follow someone else's direction. Also a 3/4 month cycle for a released game is different than EA/beta. Perhaps Jon and Mark forgot what PoE1 beta was like. Last edited by FruitLord#0833 on Feb 23, 2025, 4:57:56 PM

I think it was a Kickstarter tactic which went quite well.
They hit #16 of all time peak on Twitch with 1.2mil. I just refuse to believe anyone, especially experienced gamers/developers would make some of the mistakes in the current game. They had Acts 1-3 then attached a proto end-game to it. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac

" Problem is not in end game itself, but it how skills work and how monsters are balanced around that. Skills force everyone to play POE1. Powercreep is huge, AOE is insane. It starts even in A2 already and then becomes just worse. If you give players a lot of AOE everywhere and tons of monsters to delete - game dies right there. Game is interesting only when combat is interesting. And combat is interesting when every single monster means something. And when there is AOE and 200 monsters on the screen - there is no more combat. There is cookie clicker. No matter if fast cookie clicker or slow. It is already braindead.
