Bro you guys aren’t gonna believe this. This post got taken down by GGG and put back up with no explanation provided. I got an explanation for why it got taken down, I did not get an explanation as to why it was back up. I was about to pen a new version when I saw it was put back up. I mean the whole post, every response and the original post was removed. Typically in my experience posts that are removed dont find themselves revived, and I have a lot of experience. I’m on forum ban number 17 on Diablo 4 forums.
I still have the message and link in my messages that proves this post was removed and reinstated. I’m not gonna lie I was pretty sad all day this got taken down because it meant maybe I was wrong about everything. There’s only one reason to reinstate a post like this. And you all know what it is. In my reply to the GGG mod I said it would be immensely helpful if someone from GGG could comment that it is at least a possibility that secret quests exist. These days people are so negative about things that require a little bit of faith and work, everyone wants instant gratification, they want it explained in full and actionable, nobody wants to work as a team. They just expect results without contribution. My contribution is unquestionable. I’m the only person saying it’s real. I’m assuming that’s why this post is revived from the dead. Because I’m the only one saying it’s real. I’m not the most likable person. I didn’t come here to be liked or loved by a community. I came here for help from veterans of this game considering I’ve only been playing since early access launch and I’ve worked on solutions for multiple hidden quest items in both poe1 and poe2. If the community doesn’t want to welcome me and help it’s fine, that’s the story literally everywhere I’ve been. I try not to be unlikable. But there are many people who just want to see others suffer. All it takes for evil to prosper is for good people to say nothing about it. I’m just a guy. I’m not saying I’m better than anyone because of X Y or Z or anything at all. I came here for assistance from people who have been playing this game a lot longer than me. It’s almost heart breaking how few people would have any degree of faith in something like a secret quest, faith isn’t waiting for someone to solve it for you. It’s actively helping try to solve something that might not even be real. Faith isn’t religion. Faith simply is a state of being. Despite how any of you choose to comment you will not shake the foundation of my faith in GGG to have put secret quests in the Early Access. " It’s been real. If it’s on the trade site it means it made it through 0.1 to 0.2 because it was on 0.1 trade site as well. What that means is GGG is aware this is dropping. If they didn’t want it to be dropping it wouldn’t be. If whoever dropped it would explain where and what they were doing as specifically as possible with what gear and skill set up and everything we could solve how to get it. My guess is only a specific map with rarity threshold and possibly even some sort of mini unadvertised quest within the map But without the people who dropped them sharing information we are all screwed. Unfortunately it’s likely that everyone who has dropped that dagger is a botter. Somewhere in the waves of bots they control one of them did something accidentally correct and got the drop. Could be spaghetti code but botters accidentally hitting the first part of the secret quest is way more likely. There is also the possibility someone has solved it and is using it to charge mirror service, if they reveal the method they lose the ability to sell it for profit. Some of these trolls and derailers could be part of the group that solved it and is profiting. All I know is it’s more likely that the winters bite glass shank is a secret quest item due to it making it from 0.1 to .2 to where we are now. Poe 2 devs would have been aware it’s dropping. There must be a method to force it to drop or create it. I noticed something odd on my cruel playthrough, I didn’t need a heart to sacrifice at the altar, just picking up the dagger and attempting the sacrifice after 3 tries gave me the points. Now I’m wondering if we could place something other than the heart in the sacrifice altar. Maybe the winter wolf skull? I mean in retrospect it seems kinda obvious if you reverse engineer it that way, there is a dagger we can all get in game, the one we use to stab the heart it’s a quest item. And we are trying to get winter bite glass shank which we perceive to be a secret quest item. Also stabbing the heart has always felt the most off of any side quest. You find the heart as a drop, flavor text of heart says a soul is clinging to life, we find ritual altar and magic dagger is waiting for us to stab this heart and kill that soul. It just felt like something we weren’t actually suppose to do, like temptation. The moments of temptation are what the hero perseveres through. That’s what it has to be. " I PMed the guy who put out the dagger for trade (this was few weeks ago). He thought I wanted to buy it (I didn't have any divs at that point), but I just asked him where he found it.
