Theory: communities don't last or solo-focused design?
i remember farming felshrine/docks in full groups always at some point. with randoms, even in hardcore. always a bunch of icespear totemers and elecleavers.
im not sure how it transitioned to always playing solo but it happened. Last edited by teksuoPOE#2987 on Feb 20, 2025, 5:14:15 AM

" you are willingly being social and taking part in an aspect of the community right now, and so am i. ive never been to a forum to discuss skyrim or fallout. skyrim is an amazing game, ive played about 250 hours of it, ive played 20k hours of poe. " oh i like that perspective, the game as a puzzle. it really is, and we do figure it out as a community with this interesting dynamic of sometimes cooperating and sometimes competing for individual gain within the process. i play poe2 almost exclusively with my partner and sometimes with a close friend from poe1 along with us. the 3 of us play diablo 3 and 4 together always. but with poe1, me and my old poe1 friend usually play solo even when we are in discord together when it comes to maps because we enjoy different speeds. we always level together and then sort of split up later, but always in discord together. she just prefers mapping a bit slower, putting all her items away in order etc, im a degenerate dump tab maps per hour goblin blaster in endgame poe1. " yeah for sure, early 2013 i played quite a few pub groups, actually made some friends i still speak to today, theres a guy in my guild ive known since week 1 of poe open beta 2013, we met in a pub group farming cruel ledge lol. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
