Im a bit worried about the delay in new content.

So, when they started the Beta (and thats what it is, even though they call it early access), we were told we can expect the whole thing to last 6 to 12 months, with new features and content being released regularly.

As of now i would say we have 50% of the campaign, 25% of classes, Weapons and ascendancies, and maybe 30% of the endgame content that we are supposed to have at release.

We are getting closer to the 3 month mark, and there is not even a hint as to when we can expect 0.2.0, the next big landmark patch.

We all know and understand that your first estimation as to how long this Beta will go is completely off and we can expect it to last at least 1 or 2 years, if not longer.

But it would be nice if you could provide some form of timeframe when we can expect the next major update? If it would come in February i think we would have already heard about it, and while i am far from the doom and gloom some of the drama queens here are spouting, i think it would suite you well to give out a bit more communication on the current state of the game.

I guess they had to take everyone off of POE2 so they could do the new POE1 event

Perhaps GGG just can't handle the demand for new content in both games but they thought they could handle it?

I dunno, POE2 should have had something added to it by now IMO

funny thing, its NOT ...

Beta means FEATURE COMPLETE product testing for bugs and stability

this is ALPHA because the half of the damn game is MISSING ...

no its exact opposite, they have been putting the SMALL team PoE1 had to work on PoE2 for last seven months then with the backlash they got for lying to us for years at this point they let few of them to work on stopgap nonsensical "event" that is literally just waste of time and effort...
Rest assured, content will come. What worries me though is the lack of transparency and engagement between GGG and the community. They have a total lack of reaction when it comes to the most common concerns players have pointed looks pretty bad from their side. Their communication should be greatly improved in my opinion... when they come out with news, they always say " after analyzing data, we understand what our player base and the problems they are facing", but they never actually ask us anything. Player feedback feels like it's being ignored...
I ma not worried, the game is pretty much cooked for me and my group. If any new content comes out we might play a weekend or two, but that's it. We hate the devs implementing broken meta builds while nurfing other builds that might be viable while they hide in silence. Does not help the game is easy in hardcore, hence why I said maybe a weekend or 2 for completion, we don't like easy games. Lets not even mention the often cheating and exploitation of the game with no accountability. So many red flags for a quality game, its not a keeper.

The real concern for me is that the easily changeable things are NOT changed.

Loot is still garbage.
crafting is non existent.
one portal is still the norm
trials are exactly the same

those things brick the game.
well to be clear if the game stays "Ruthless" its dead.
these are things that could easily change.

They have not.
Signaling this is a direction CHOICE.
meaning the game is toast, or a much smaller game than we were anticipating.
They had their chance to beat Blizzard and take over the space.
They blew it making the same mistakes they always do.

First mistake: they overestimated themselves. Can't blame them, it's easy to fall into that trap.
Second mistake: they miscalculated just how petty and fanatical fans can be. POE 1 loyalists absolutely despise POE 2, and GGG in their fear to not lose them have started making blunders.

They really need to put their foot down, define some future plans, make a roadmap for both games (POE 2 should have the advantage since it's the game with less content) and then stick with it. Haters will always be a thing, and if people leave the games because of this, you didn't really need that negativity anyway.

GGG was always seen as the devs that communicate with their community, but the pressure of dealing with two games seems to have made them go mute. It's no wonder people start panicking, no one knows anything now, but in the past we got news every day.
The lack of communication is the worst part. Players used to be in on the loop now they are out in the cold wondering WTF is going on.
I think they are not sure what they want to do.
There is a part of me that thinks they were surprised by peoples negative reactions to some game mechanics.

Im pretty confused by it myself.

Fix PoE2!
clearly state what it is supposed to be!

If it is meant to be just like it is.
Say so, let people deal with it, I will.

It was such an easy win ... I swear to god.
Don't they want to win
