The ascendancy test looked pretty damn awesome and I was pretty hyped for that. Even if that is also just a PoE2 test, at least it would be tested in a fun game. I would have been stoked for just that and nothing else.
The atlas change knocked the hype train down hard. It’s a 1 month event, just do the ascendencies and let it rip. Atlas is damn near perfect. On top of the relic system looking generally bad, why the hell would you make them unmodifiable? Powerful drop only uniques with rollable magic/rare tier items would at least be somewhat palatable for SSF. I don’t see why this can’t just be added straight in to the beta game, the endgame can’t really get any worse. |

this whole thing stinks of intentional SABOTAGE so that lead dev can point to "look how badly the PoE1 event went, we can go full tilt on PoE2 now" ...

I'm happy to see they do some stuff with the endgame. If it were only the ascendancies it would hold about a week, if that.
On the other hand, these custom thingies might mean mapping prep overhead and cluttery. Hope not. Did you try turning it off and on again?
