State of Early Access Update

Are you new to EA? Do you have steam? I have like 7 EA games right now, and I would be happy if they give updates every 2 months. Some of them need like 4-5 month for a single minor update.

GGG atleast is doing something every 1-2 weeks. Just play a different game till there is an upgrade. I bet you have games in your library that you never played after buying them

I am not new with EA and every EA game I played in the past gave regular updates towards their release especially in the last year. They did not wait till they could release a new "league" before fixing bugs and game breaking things and added content regularly. If anyone isn't handling this as EA it's GGG by refusing to give updates cause they don't want to nerf builds mid league.

Good thing GGG also isn't waiting for a new league before fixing bugs and game breaking things, as they'ved been releasing minor bugfixing and polish patches consistently since December.

The only thing they're not releasing on a short-term basis is major reworks or significant new content, which is absolutely not something early access games typically do regularly. Most games need a few months to deliver large new content updates.

How can you guys defend an "Early Access" release with no updates besides quality of life changes and bug fixes?

There have been no significant feature releases since launch.

Also, I gotta say, you clearly have some deep industry experience. The way you confidently throw out these takes, you must be an amazing game developer. So tell me, what groundbreaking games have you worked on? I’m really curious.

The last update was like a few days ago... we have logs where you can see changes. How can you lie if there is written evidence?

They added new gems, port to waypoints, made respecc cost less, minions playable (no stuck and the teleport to player), new maps in endgame, overworked and added uniques and so on. <--- how can you come in here and say they did nothing since release?

They said they would release bigger changes like new char, acts and weapons with bigger updates combined with a league reset.

They wanted to make the bigger changes but the community went balistic when they did so they stopped doing it. This is on the community as they forgot what EA means. They were butthurt about changes to their build during EA so Jonathan said bigger changes only on resets.

You cant have both. You cannot cry about changes while crying about no changes. Its one or the other.

And lastly this community whined so loud about PoE1 that they had to take ressources and slow down PoE2 content. If you want to be angry at someone then be it on the PoE1 whiners... Its like the wow classic community all over again.

The only criminal things they are doing right now to the PoE2 playerbase is the non-communication approach.

Your debate skills are terrible. Did I ever say that delaying a game is a crime? This game has been in development for six years, yet you seriously believe that player complaints in January 2025 will pressure the developers into making a bad game? How fantastic you are.
