Thoughts on the upcoming month-long event?
" Doesn't seem to be the case based on the new reveal :P Witch is hard to tell because it's reliant on how good those summons are, but Duelist seems pretty broken already. I really hope that rather than trying to balance the ascendancies to game content, all 19 (or however many they'll be adding) are op in their own way. I mean, rather have everything op than have 2-3 broken ascendancies and the rest at meh-tier, especially if it's a 1-month voided event. And if the teaser is something like a Sanctum system for maps, I will be very happy. |

Seems fun, if only for novelty of it. If you are expecting anything to be balanced or not be full of random bugs then not sure what to say, this event will have both bugs and busted OP builds.

Playing HCSSF or SSF pretty much fixes 80% of balance issues if you're talking about trade

I think the event looks somewhat fresh.
It will be different, fresh and unbalanced, and while I only speak for myself, I feel that I need different, fresh and unbalanced. I also like that it's a month long event, and not one of these one week crap events that requires you to "work" from home to really push the endgame. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years. |

New event looks cool but yeah maybe quite broken in largely bad (broken/non functioning mechanics) ways.
Tangent but I think GGG's bar for what is required for a new poe1 league is way too high for the current level of resources they're willing to put in while focusing on poe2. For example legacy league was great and just rehashed previous content. There's also a ton of leagues I would be happy to replay and plenty of players never experienced. I would happily take a repeat of prior league/ mashup of prior mechanics (like TOTA) over waiting another 6 months for a potentially good (or not) league mechanic when often the main draw is a fresh start regardless. |
