Yes. Choosing to enjoy something and seeing how it develops is better than being negative all the time.

GGG is showing good will to the community, people said they should be doing an event, now we get one. PoE1 is still in a great state, it's just stale. Balance is solid. Content itself is solid.

New event was wanted and is within the scope of dev time. This is a good middle ground between getting nothing and quick poe2 or slow poe2 and a league.

GGG has to cater to two audiences now and the initial period is going to be hard. I trust that they will figure it out.

How can it be good will, when it was forced by the community outrage. Do you really think, GGG would have released this event, if reddit over the last few days + Pohx didn't happen?

Also I'm not criticising people enjoying the event. Not even close to that. I just can't understand how people cheer for it, like they get a new super expension league tho.

Because them not staying stubborn is something to be praised. That is where the good will lies. We have not been forgotten, even though it's a small token, it still is one to be relished.

It's not a perfect solution, but it's a step in the right direction. I want both games to succeed and this seems reasonable.
If it keeps up in the future that poe1 will get shafted for poe2 I (and many others) will lose interest in both games. Let's not hope it comes to that.

If you criticize hard, you must also praise when appropriate. I think this is appropriate to praise, considering we've been heard and action will (hopefully soon) follow.

For all we know, there could be a few 1-month events in line. If I recall we had something like this two years back when one league needed to be prolonged (maybe TotA?) in order for development on the next league to continue a bit longer. During that time we had a couple different events.

Seems like the hate from the playerbase was loud enough to GGG at least listen to the players.

Too early to know what it will be, but its better than last weeks "We will have 3.26 eventually, one day, maybe..."

for me this is just a cat slap of a game that should have more value, POE 2 for me is not even close to competitive as POE 1 in terms of everything but graphics... now event with everything unbalanced done in a hurry ... For me, the league of the covas and the cemetery is enough, the worst league ever seen.
