Wealth Disparity and Magic Find
" This has historically put solo players at a serious disadvantage, too. As mentioned by others in this thread, the beginning of every league is dominated by groups of mirror crafters and RMT traders sending all of their gremlins out into the wild to pool currency, which lets them corner the market. It's been this way for years. The player-side solution here is to play SSF, but that doesn't help much when drops are balanced around groups of chain farmers in trade leagues. So, OP, you're basically 100% wrong on how people are farming currency.
Rarity soft caps around 100- which you can get off of basically 3 gear pieces. It's not something you have to heavily gear around, it's incredibly easy to get. Just think of it as another resistance. But the people farming currency aren't doing it because of rarity on their character. They're doing it from breach item quantity tablets and speccing their atlas correctly. Nearly all of your currency comes from increased item quantity, not rarity... and quantity comes from tablets and waystones. Even if you didn't have any rarity on your gear, properly rolling towers and maps would get you 75-80% of the currency of someone who has 200 rarity. Because most currency is dropping from rare mobs, which have their own massive buffs to rarity that make the rarity on your character rather pointless. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6sHal5AJpo&t=64s Last edited by AstroShade#7322 on Feb 1, 2025, 9:25:10 PM

" All the more reason for a DEDICATED SSF. IDK what the fuck GGG is smoking man for real. How loud have such requests been? How loud have such requests for better MF balancing? I really don't like that I've spent 200+ hours on my warrior and still haven't found sufficient gear to try any of the citadels. Granted, warrior is dumb fuck underpowered right now because it can get one shot by a sufficiently juiced rare (I do fucking blue maps ffs I can't juice shit and average 150 Life and 25 STR per gear piece) but I know others are dealing with the same crap for progression. Hate the one-attempt maps, too. |
