Lets start to be realistic

Let me preface by saying im a massive PoE2 enjoyer, tough im a more casual player due to time constraints (just started cruel).

To me its plain POE2 early access wont take 6 months or even 1 year. You got to add 2 more full acts, revamp the endgame, add classes and weapons, countless rebalances during all that. Imho the minimum duration for this is 1,5 year, maybe longer and its ok, for the superb game that we are getting. Just update the timeline, as to prevent any drama and manage expactations.

Also imho, even tough im not a POE1 player( i tried once, found it not fun enough for me), there is no point anymore in postponing work on POE1. I understand the "all hand on POE2 deck" before the launch of POe2 early acess, but now there is no critical, fast approaching deadline, it will take a lot of time and work to develop POE2 further.

Just how i see it.

3 acts, no? But yeah, it will take a while.
might be 3:)
The "all hands on deck" is to get the initial balance patch and economy reset done. They know that it greatly impacts the player experience when there are builds and skill combos massively out of line with the intended balance level of the game (see spark, lightning arrow). Once those have been knocked into line to where they're maybe like 2x too powerful instead of like 20x, and the massive currency inflation occurring thanks to builds far outside of the intended power level of the game no longer speed farming crazy amounts of currency, then yes agreed.
You own a store

You sell hamburgers

You opened one in 2010 a small shop, it does well serves 200 customers a day.
You Opened a new store in 2024 , it servers 3000 customers a day.

Problem at the garage one of the trucks broke down we can only deliver buns to one location.

Where do you think the buns are going.
lets consider it a test of common sense.

A) Deliver the buns to store A
b) Deliver the buns to store B

If I follow the logic of some on these forums the correct answer is neither, and it's a trick question. Your per day customers dropping from 5000 at grand open to 2000 per day after the hype has died down indicates your hamburger business failed, and you intend to close up shop entirely, so you sell both trucks.

No No

The logic on these forums is:

Hop in the truck and drop off 50 buns at Store A
Then go to store B and drop off another 50 buns
Then drive back to the depot and get another 100
Then drive to store A drop off those 50 drive to store B and drop off
the last 50 and drive back to the depot.

Then you have achieved the maximum dissatisfaction at both locations
taken the maximum amount of time, and use the maximum amount of gas.

The smart thing to do.
Sell location 1 so it stops being a drag on location 2
Send everything to location 2. Save time, gas, achieve maximum satisfaction
where it matters most. Sell the broken truck.

I wonder if that occurs to people..
keep squeaking, that wheel will get some grease , or a kick.

c) I start buying my buns from China.

The sticky point being those 200 customers are 95% sure repeating customers for years. Those 3000 customers are a wave from a new ad, and you dont know how many will stick around.

Also there is a thing called honesty and gratitude, imho they should push the next POE1 league fast, to deliver on past promise and if they want to slow down on poe1 content, then announce a new, slower, timeline for poe1 leagues.

Let me preface by saying i was here a while.

when they announced they will drop 5 BRAND NEW acts in poe1 i was impressed, then i saw said acts. i'm not saying this will happen here, but the history likes to repeat itself. also they still 'balancing' poe1, well maybe not anymore but you get the idea
