Why is nothing happening?
" They did a anouncment. If u like it is your thing. And to poe2 ... its EA they have all the time they need.I think ggg dont want to push content out in a 90% finish bec of all the cry babys these days in the forum. So we have to wait and relax. have a nice day |

the main reason nothing is happening is GGG is looking at this EA/Beta as a league instead of a early access or beta. The first week or two they were nerfing things left and right.
I guess they instantly got saucer eyes at the huge player numbers and got scared. Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4. If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years. " My friend, I am not sure if you are trolling [Removed by Support]. I am talking about communication and you are talking about pushing out content. Either way, a steamer interview with no answers and a video telling POE1 players to get bent along with some patches fixing lute playing are a pale shadow of GGG operations of the past. " I don't recall reading much less quoting you. You know that not every post in a internet forum is directed personally at you right? Maybe you quoted and insulted the wrong post or something. New Una theme song confirmed. It will be the best Una song we can't hear yet. They have the whole team working on it

" they can sell more supporter packs when they only release content every 3 months | |
The worst thing a company can do while doing testing is acting rashly. It's far better to take some time and make sure problems are problems, and that your fix isn't going to make things worse.

" I think part of it is the huge numbers players are generating, by which I mean DPS. If you listened to the interview, you'll have noticed them saying they want boss fights to take about a minute, yet there is build after build that eliminates them in seconds. But at the same time, during the campaign, the game feels decent for the typical player. Nor can they just do something like just up the hp, because loot drops are crap in this game and death penalties are harsh, so you can't easily farm your way up to an acceptable level of power. Well, at least not without using trade, which is something SSF can't do, and so GGG can't rely on that crutch to bail them out of the hole their design has placed them in. Which means GGG has to basically completely rebalance the end game, without screwing up the balance for the typical campaign player. They'll have to change systems, nerf items, and so on. It won't be a simple fix. Given the scope, it really doesn't make sense for them to try and do targeted fixes, when the real problem is the entirety of the end game. I think they should be more active with communications. I appreciate their latest update on PoE1, yet it´s way to late, and even still no news on when we can expect information or new league for PoE2.
PoE2 is a great foundation and i have alot of faith, yet we really need to be kept in the loop about plans. Personally id love a placeholder roadmap, or at least more frequent updates. This current league is now completely finished, all content is consumed, all builds are figured out and optimized, the skill variety is close to 0, its just spam one ability and repeat. The hugely broken builds have ruined the economy for other players as they just farm 10x more efficiently. I know this will get fixed, just feels like it needs to happen sooner rather than later. They said 6-12 months early access period, i dont know how much finished content they just havent released yet, but its safe to assume its nowhere close to 4 months until full release. Im suspecting at this rate it will be in EA for at least 12 months more. Would be pleased to be proven wrong about that! |

It's not a beta, it's early access. A beta means it's feature complete with bugs. It's technically an alpha.
That matters. Calling it a beta implies it should be in a better state than it is (though it's remarkable for an alpha IMO). |
