A Message to Path of Exile 1 Players

So in reality PoE 2 is an Early Alpha Access and we have the wrong priorities PoE 1 still should be main focus.

PoE 2 state -- two more years to get to somewhere near PoE 1 polished game with alot of different mechanics, shiny complexity and a very rich endgame, crafting.

It's NOT time for PoE 2 to replace PoE 1.

I will never support you anymore -- GGG (1st G is for greed?) -- until you get PoE 2 to atleast half the state PoE 1 is.

And, yes, PoE 2 have good things, but it's nowhere near even Beta. It's pre-Alpha.

This is kinda sad. It seems that GGG is pushing and burning the credibility with the player base they built over 10 plus years.


Everyone knew this would happen. It's not like GGG is a new company that would not expect it. And the POE fans are not stupid it's just GGG had credibility to we bet on a good outcome.


This is the kind of message that would seem honest 3 or more months ago. Today it is kinda "We lied, lacked transparency and abused the willingness of the public, but we still have credibility right?"


I like both games, but this is a bad stop with POE1 being abandoned (intentionally and without communication) and POE2 being without content and abolishment.

Every software shop I've ever known or ever worked for has had to learn this the hard way. Just as 9 women can't deliver a baby in 1 month, pulling devs from other projects means those other projects suffer.

And adding more people to a project, even partway out, doesn't usually come with the speed boost you'd assume. Even for in house stuff that you'd think is more cross functional.

I'm glad you're admitting this; it's a shame it wasn't admitted earlier. But, like I said, every dev shop learns this, and usually the hard way.

I'm less annoyed that you had to learn it the hard way and am more concerned about what you do about it. Because THAT is what matters when we make mistakes. Not that we made the mistake, but what we do afterwards.

Maybe if anything was learned from 10 years of PoE1, PoE2 wouldnt be so scuffed.

Just merge Settlers with Standard "as is". There is soooooo much content i could not play in Settlers. Or just make Settlers a permanent league by itself. So casuals like me could play it.

I guess my jokes about 3.26 in 2026 are not jokes anymore lol.

I just dont get it, okay, cant make mew league - is it THAT HARD to make something like legacy league? Just put leagues already existed and that already got fixed and thats all, you already did that before. If you so scare about this STD problem - then make this league voided.

I just dont get it. Now a lot of ppl in community hate this cause they feeling betrayed (im feeling at least), its not good, come on.

What’s stopping you from outsourcing PoE1 so the core team can fully focus on PoE2? The right outsourcing strategy would reduce costs while ensuring PoE1 continues to thrive, allowing internal resources to be dedicated entirely to PoE2.

Frankly, I’m baffled that leadership didn’t anticipate this issue. It was obvious from the start that pulling the PoE1 dev team would negatively impact both games.

Additionally, why not introduce engaging in-league events instead of forcing a soft reset? Run a Crucible Week on Settlers, a Trial of the Ancestors Week, double XP, or double loot weeks. These are simple, high-impact ways to keep the community invested while you build momentum for the next PoE2 update.
