A Message to Path of Exile 1 Players

you killed poe 1
who even cares anymore
not you
not the players
what players?
they are gone
reduced to atoms

I have lost interest in both games.. why did you release an early access to an unfinished bugged 1 button build game?
Y'all got paid ..just hire more people to work on PoE2 .

Why abandon what was working in the first place?? Like you just shot your selfs in the foot twice with one announcement..

I've invested my most important asset.. time into something I just don't want to login and play anymore.. it ain't even about the money spent..

Honestly was kind of expecting something like this to happen with the complete radio silence we have been getting. I'm incredibly disappointed with how this has been handled. The fact that POE2 needed so much work just to get it to a state where it could launch that you had to pull the POE1 dev team means POE2 SHOULDN'T HAVE LAUNCHED!!! There was no reason to force POE2 down the pipeline like this when it clearly needed at least another year of behind the scenes dev time to be in a reasonable state for launch. You broke all your promises to the player base and now POE1 is going to be in limbo for who knows how long (my guess is 3.26 wont be until q4 this year at the earliest or more likely q1 2026). On top of that 3.26 needs to be an absolute banger to bring the player base back after being stuck on 3.25 for over a year with nothing more than a "sorry"! But that's probably impossible because that'd mean moving serious dev power away from the dumpster fire that is POE2. And if 3.26 turns out to be some lukewarm "we had to put out a league so here" fiasco you might as well shut POE1 down entirely. I've played 6700 hours of POE1 and desperately don't want idiotic mismanagement to kill it but this message sounds more like a funeral choir than an apology.

Better to take the time than to rush it. Good luck guys.

Nah nah nah this couldn't have been handled better, the people still playing poe1 will be unhappy regardless of what happens. Glad poe2 is getting the attention it needs.

That's extremely sad. POE1 was probably the best game ever and it doesn't deserve this treatment. POE2 on the other hand is a fresh mess, you can't fix it in a couple of months, you are fooling yourselves again...

Can't say I'm surprised given the fascist staff that runs the company that additionally has sky high double standards. Lying and deception is par for the course over there.

Expected outcome ever since they switched from it being an expansion to a separate game.
