A Message to Path of Exile 1 Players
" Well that's because PoE2 meant to be just another campaign with its own characters and sharing its endgame with Poe1... |

Very disappointing, especially since it seems basically no work has been done on 3.26 and GGG has been silent on this until now. Johnathan says that GGG will be getting "pre-production" of 3.26 done while the majority of the team works on poe 2. Why was this very obvious incoming poe1 delay not communicated earlier when the community was expecting a league announcement any time now?

" +1 Especially step 2, which is 1000% spot on. |

The fall of PoE1 has truly begun...

Just put Mark in charge of everything. He is the only one who has ever been in a leadership position at your company and has consistently made the game better, not worse. Have Jonathan put in charge of figuring out how to not take the entire website down every time there is a game patch or something he is more capable of.

bro just put some devs on poe1 for the love of god. dont make the same mistake back to back
|

To GGG PoE1 just seems to be an afterthought now. They want to see their vision come true, no matter what. And that is PoE2. GGG, I do not trust you anymore. Actions are louder than words.

So may lies and excuses and not:
2019: Chris Wilson speaks at Exilecon stating "for years we wanted to make a sequel to Path of Exile, the problem with that is sequels split a community between 2 products. It's also hard for a sequel to compete with the amount of content and features that the original game has. We've just spent 6 years making expansions to Path of Exile, so imagine if we released a Path of Exile 2 and it was just a bare campaign with none of that extra content. This would be a sad shell of an action RPG". https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxSkh2qQHe1LM6AMqjvZTX9POq1sHoWKZS 2019: The final year POE1 was on a normal release schedule of 3 month Leagues, 4 times annually. |

I've seen people saying they should just hire more devs. Problem is reality is a lot harsher. Devs don't just immediately understand all code and all processes right away. There's usually a ramp up time of a month or more just to get adjusted. Not only that but current devs will generally be asking questions for a while. They're clearly not in a good spot where they can afford any type of context switching.
I guess I'll write my $100 supporter pack off as the same category of "that was stupid" that paying for early access to Diablo 4 made me feel. |

That's really really rough :/. I've been playing a lot of PoE1 these past few weeks and trading is virtually non-existent, heck even global 1 is quiet. I like PoE2 as well, but it requires a different kind of energy most of the time and I can't just "zone out" grind like I like to do. It also kinda stings not being able to use 90% of our MTX (some of us have put a lot into this...).
I beg you to at least consider ending necro settlers (which has NO market anymore) and at least starting up another similar league, maybe with some other easy tie-in like crucible (yeah I know I'm pretty lonely in that fan club, lol). EDIT: I think the biggest thing I'd want right now is at least for necro-settlers to get merged to standard. I have so many half-finished projects spread across three leagues right now just waiting to be merged. *Never forgetting how good this game looked at 32:9 instead of 1/3 of my screen being black bars.* Last edited by weveran#7063 on Jan 29, 2025, 9:43:29 PM
