A Message to Path of Exile 1 Players
Honestly, take as long as you need. That goes for both games, for me. I'm still enjoying both and playing both almost daily.
Personally I would appreciate more frequent communication on the game's website, but I can see how it's a bit difficult when there isn't something big to announce. With that said, a short "what we're doing" post every now and then would be very nice. I'm hopeful for the future! Send me your deer-related inquiries!

so no new league and poe 2 is cookie clickers right now and prbl. will take a year to be somewhat good? Great.

I dont care about delay, its understandable. but what I do care about is your dogshit support you had since poe2 release.
What about a statement of all the locked accounts? What about the people who got unauthorized supporter packs bough? Maybe make a statement about your support too? I have bough a supporter pack almost every league since open beta, I doubt il touch another one unless you get your support fixed and even then, you have burn a lot of goodwill that has been building up. ign: DreamsofIllusions

Love hearing whining and crying about how many issues an unreleased game has and how that is so much more important than letting a fully released and backed game go to complete shit. I really didn't think my opinion on GGG could fundamentally fall so hard after a decade of great customer appreciation. Now GGG seems to be in full "fuck long term supporters and fans" mode.
How tf can you not realize it is just a pure p.o.s. decision to prioritize 0.1, 0.1.1 and 0.2 so much over PoE1 that for 7 months you literally completely abandon a game that has seem major updates every 3/4 months for a decade? Honestly disgusted and disappointed. GGG seems to have gone full $$$ over players. I fully regret buying my PoE2 supporter pack. Last edited by PartyComeEarly#1102 on Jan 29, 2025, 10:23:45 PM

Sadly completely disconnected from their core community. Maybe internal personnel problems?! Dunno if i ever find the passion again supporting and playing poe. o7

Well, that was disappointing. Doesn't this just pretty much set up for future project to constantly have POE1 teams get pulled to help with POE2 stuff everything time they have a new fire?
Should just bring back the old racing events for alt gear and a another Legacy League to help bridge the gap. |

The structure of your studio isn't the problem. Your inability to accurately plan is the problem.
Really disappointing to go from "POE2 will not impact POE1 to 'sorry no leagues we took all the devs'". |

A message to you as well Johnatan: POE2 is a disappointment and an insult to the POE legacy and name. You failed at the most basic of tasks, making it fun which is what a game is supposed to be.

Chris Wilson might've sold his soul to the devil, but at least we got some good times out of it. Jonathan Rodgers and his little minion will drive POE2 and the company into the ground.
The golden years are over...this is the beginning of the end. Shame on you GGG! 2 decades have gone by and you still haven't secured Session ID. Pathetic and disgraceful. |

While the displeasure is understandable I'd say a lot of people are overreacting. It is understandable to scramble to finish new shiny project and while I'm also disappointed poe 1 got shafted in the process I believe it should work out well for both games eventually.
My reasoning is new league mechanics could be somewhat shared between the two with some balance changes, meaning it's not impossible to develop both at once and improvements made for poe 2 could be implemented into poe 1 without ruining it's advantages. I hope that with good management additional resources could make for more content and more overall stability. |
