A Message to Path of Exile 1 Players

If I'm not wrong, this is the third major promise you guys have broken about PoE 2.

PoE 2 was supposed to be a PoE 1 mega expansion. It’s not.

PoE 2 was not supposed to affect PoE 1's development. It does.

PoE 1's expansion will be delayed. You didn’t even take the time to begin with.

I know this is a F2P game, but I'm just angry about the fact that you guys have been lying to us. I love the game, but to be honest, I don't even want to try PoE 2 because it's been plagued with lies from the beginning. In the end, I get that you’re not a charity, but I'm just upset and sad about how this is being managed.

Poe 1 playerbase still much higher than POE 2.
if they remove all content from POE 1 No matter playerbase
will still be higher than poe 2!
Poe 1 mechanicaly and skill system Animations game design speed of mapping everyting is better than poe 2.

This is disgusting. If i had known that poe2 would delay poe1 , i would have never spent any money on poe2.

Now, after being sugarcoated for so long at the first disruption due to releasing an entirely new game you act like this? Pathetic.

Not showing a glimpse of understanding for their current situation which they are trying to handle to the best of their abilities and you're out here demanding. Acting like you're being owed anything. GGG doesn't deserve fans like that.

It's completely understandable that not everyone is happy with this situation. GGG is not happy with it obviously. Some players are more disappointed with this than others and that's fine. State your disappointment, your critique, wishes etc. but stop with this obnoxious bashing. Jesus. What an embarrassing display some members allow themselves here..

many companies would simply close poe1, if so, do it. Don't get your hopes up, after all, who said the new league would come out in January?

Why didn't they just hire more people to work? They only care about money and totally forget about the players who love the game.

Way to go. Alienate your faithfull fanbase by telling lies. "will not impact poe 1".

I mostly bought EA to support you as a company, becuase poe 1 is one of my favorite games.

Poe 2 is way to unfinished and a game in early access should not get priority over a well running, successfull game.

So disapointed, wish i could refund the EA pack and i will try!

Make two separate teams for each game and don't have them work solely on PoE2, then you won't have such problems and criticism.

Wow, people in this topic are off the rails!

I dont play POE1 actively anymore, gave 2 a lot of time, but taking a break until new things/stuff are fixed, its early access after all.

This clip is straight forward and honest, shit happens, even big shits.
I rather see this video instead of either no news or weird news trying to hide stuff.

I feel bad for the POE1 people, I also feel bad for the team, I dont feel bad for the POE2 people, its super early, we kinda knew what we would get, and if you thought for a second it wouldnt be messy here an there I dont know what to say to you.

POE1 with all its free content could have stopped ages ago and it would still be one of the best, but it kept giving, now it seems to slow down a bit.

POE2 seems promising, althou different yet familiar, there is several things I hope to see change/added/fixed and whatnot, but we are just in the startingpit here, so I just sit back and see how it rolls out.


Now I hope for good winds, easy and smooth coding, and if possible, a growing team to keep up the momentum on all fronts.

You guys are awesome.



EDIT: Im slightly confused about the "you lied!" part here, a lie is saying something you know you wont be able to hold right off the bat.
Here its a promise they could not keep, kinda big diff if you ask me.
Having someone outright lie to me is one thing, promise too much is "big sad", but not the same.

I am beyond disappointed.

You made promises and instead of making the effort to try to keep them, you decided silence was the best answer and when that turned out to no longer be enough, out came the excuses.

You're all in on Path of Exile 2.. it better work out cos if it doesn't, there's nothing left for you to fall back on because you decided that throwing the game that funded this sequel chase into the dumpster is the right move to make going forward.


Seriously, you had MONTHS to deal with this, to do SOMETHING other than stay silent followed up by bunch of excuses.. yeah, well.. at least now we know so i guess that's nice.

Good luck with PoE2, it's far too ruthless to my liking so it's unlikely i'll devote the same kinda time to it as the first game, especially now that you fully dumpstered it and who knows, maybe i'll come back in 2027 to see if you're finally keeping your promises.
