Totally wrong. they are burning. Path of exile 1 was what made Path of exile 2 a success. they are spitting on POE 1 and only paying attention to POE 2 who is not even close to his FATHER. I'll look for something else to play

they no longer have the right to vote and decide, tencent became the majority owner in March 2024, so...???

Really glad they chose this path. You can't expect them to support the first game in the same cadence after release of a new project, it was obvious.

Just hopping on here to show my honest appreciation for GGG for their honesty and to balance out some of the absolute negativity and toxicity coming from the community with these needless threats of "never spending money again / absolute betrayal and loss of trust" etc etc. Throwing that around literally helps no one here; they are fully aware of the pressure they are under and the expectations that are there. Throwing threats around and being toxic only makes the situation worse. If you are unhappy with slow content launches, just play another game in the meantime.

I can't imagine the amount of stress and resources that are needed to launch a brand new game, and putting all available manpower to make sure that PoE2 becomes the game they envision, while PoE 1 remains stable and fully able to be enjoyed, it seems like a no-brainer. Having either a trainwreck of a new game release, which you hope to build years and years (or even decade+ development on), you want as strong a basis as possible once it goes public. Once EA is stable and the most urgent complaints are addressed, then new seasonal content and cycle for PoE 1 will drop, seems like fully the correct management decision.

You can't make everyone happy, but I see a company trying their best to make the best launch possible while also re-adjusting expectations and trying to keep the community updated and informed, even if it is not the news we were hoping for. I have gotten SO much value for my money over the years and am truly enjoying Poe2 and can't wait for the new acts and new weapons/skills (which all take ridiculous amounts of time and money and manpower to develop). I happily paid for Early Access and wish the team all the best.

Nothing is perfect in life, there are so many games out there to play in the meantime. Give these guys some time and space to get everything finished that they have planned and let them cook.
