A Message to Path of Exile 1 Players
" No, we really wont. |

so sad to see that a amazing game like poe1 dies for something like poe2, that game needs YEARS of work to even come close to what poe1 was

Ngl I'm not even mad as their current situation is expected. Most of the outrage of overly passionate could have been abated if they just posted a brief forum post outlining things as they unfold, like a "Where we are at the moment" topic that gets updated at the end of each productive week or whatevs to let people know the situation without GGG having to rehearse a video of apology that GGG don't necessarily owe.
People seem hyped for the legacy 2.0 idea that can easily tide the masses over for another 6 months if need be. Economy reset right now! Hit me! Right now! Reset! .... AHHH |

just close poe 1

Thanks for information. Good luck in development.
Maybe add Crucible and Synthesis to Kalguur? It will be best crafting league ever! |

delusional to think buying a supporter pack for a specific league in poe1 entitles you to perpetual and ongoing entitlement from a game development company.

To all the kids complaining, welcome to capitalism
They could hire more people, but that would means less money. And everything is about money in this world. Enjoy the "system" |

" You are so clearly a new player, and if you're not you are so disconnected from PoE 1 that you might as well have never touched it. Since the game's inception Chris has directly stated how Supporter packs literally drive the game forward and are what allow them to provide players with new content, and even with the most recent reveal of the EA supporter packs, Jonathan wraps it up by saying "Thank you for your support, without you, Path of Exile 2 could not have happened". So you're not arguing against players but against GGG themselves on that. You also said every game has an expiration date. Based on the games you cited it seems you measure this expiration date based on player numbers, and as you say the need to "evolve". Well that's confusing because PoE 1 has only ever continued to grow with every league launch, and naturally every league brings a new "evolution" in the form of a new mechanic/system. Sometimes it even revamps and rebuilds what was already a part of the game along with these updates. That sure doesn't seem like an expiring game to me, and using your logic, it shouldn't to you either! But of course there is no logic, you're not even here for PoE 1. So I'll just recycle some sentiments that PoE 2 players have expressed to PoE 1 players: "This thread is about PoE 1, not PoE 2", "Stop whining and be patient, GGG is clearly overwhelmed, give them a break, they'll get to it when they can", and of course, "If you have a problem with it, just don't play it." |

I find it sad that so many people insist on games being service games, even when sequels release.
Remember before, when it was normal that the first game of a franchise was naturally obsolete when the sequel came out ? And people would still play the old game if they liked it without expecting updates ? People still playing Diablo 2 to this day don't whine there's no update on it. If you truly like poe1, just keep playing it and accept a sequel release and they need to focus on it. |

I would be happy with them dropping poe1 entirely if the eased off "the vision" for poe2 of making everything annoying.
we need travel skills, move speed potions, much more complex crafting, and some decent map layouts also - scrap the whole skill gem system and go back to gear slots... it was just better |
