I don't sit in my hideout all day every day waiting for whispers. You don't know what the sellers are doing. They could be busy with something.
Like, you can't even wait FIFTEEN seconds for me to finish doing what I'm doing, open a return portal, and teleport back to my hideout before I send you an invite? Seriously?
Do you go to a restaurant, order your food, get up, walk over to the kitchen, and demand the chef to bring out food immediately?
I swear some people just think of sellers as some sort of soulless NPCs or something.
It's a video game, and you're not my friend. Block me, send an invite, remove your public stashes, or turn off trade.

They can still send party invites. I've had a guy spam me with party invites so many times that I put him on ignore and I still get invites every 5 minutes or so.
Regrettably, I refrain from engaging with nescient individuals who proffer fatuous commentary whilst concealing their profiles.
