My Review of PoE2
i want them to stick to the vision of slower, more tactical game with meaningful combat but it's even more over-stimulating than poe 1.
Everything about this game about that meaningful combat was a lie looking on that. Even new patch - overflood some maps with monsters and game even more like "breach" experience. Instead of slowing it down and nerfing builds in EA they are stick to vision "no nerfs during leagues" but there's no league.. and in this time we will get poe 1 and game for no one because it's not poe 1. and core of gameplay of poe 2 doesn't exist in end-game. everything is about automation and holding one button. " If the entire game felt like it did on my first character going through campaign, I wouldn't mind. I'd probably play PoE1 more often, but at least this game would have a solid foundational style. I may even play it almost as much as PoE1. However, you're right. It wants to be one thing for that first campaign playthrough, then turns into a crummy version of PoE1 afterwards. " Yeah. Feel during campain was amazing. Can you also consider commenting under my post about "lack of identity" https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3644087/page/8 ? People who love the idea and core of the meaningful combat that was promised - We need to provide our feedback. Forum is flooded by casuals from diablo 4 and other games that want to be over-stimulated like in other games of this type. |

I'm tempted to even say "I'll settle for WASD in PoE 1", but that's not really good enough.

" I dont understand how these dudes played poe1 for 10 years. Its like an auto battler that plays for you. You just have to equip the stuff. Which is cool but thats not what they advertised for poe 2 |
|
" Of course you don't understand. From your perspective, it's "just [having] to equip the stuff". Do you RMT on a regular basis or something? You DO realize most PoE1 veterans don't play standard and need to re-acquire gear every league, right? 10 years of PoE1 is over 20 leagues of unlocking all the prerequisites, leveling characters, and earning the currency needed to buy the items to equip for multiple builds per league. They have fun with the new "auto-battler" they unlocked, enjoying the power spike, then move to the next of X builds (which was heavily reduced in PoE2, even after they finish adding the rest of the gems, since only T13 skills can be used for primary damage without chase uniques as I mentioned in the OP). " You clearly didn't read the OP, because I cited exactly what they advertised for PoE2 for all of 2019 thru 2023. It was advertised as more content built on PoE1. |

Ed contagine does work in endgame. Can throw out 1 combo and melt entire breach. You made the mistake of going bloodmage. Crit doesn't scale dots.
| |
" You're right that crit doesn't scale DoTs, but you're wrong in your assumption that I went Bloodmage while still trying to use ED/Contagion. The decision to go Bloodmage was after I switched to Hexblast. Oh, and good luck killing bosses with your absolutely garbage ED/Contagion damage :) Nice try, really, but you have to know what you're talking about if you're going to try embarrassing someone. |
|
" Lvl 97, killed every boss in the game. :) | |
" ...and you still don't understand that a build needs to do more than clear breaches? Yikes... |
