Man, are you butthurt about having to move through the map. That's a 'you'-problem. It's not zip-zoom. if you want that, play PoE 1 oder D4 :)

look like the 0.1.0f hotfix 2 was remove, my node "energy shield if consumed charge power" give only max ES without ES

Hope the effects get fixed within a couple of days. It's bad to let people learn the "wrong" mob behavior and then suddenly have to re-learn it all again because on-death explosions all come back overnight.

Getting killed through energy shield by something. Has happened in breaches mainly. Possibly related to "Extra Chaos Damage" mod on mobs:
